Final Bout. I bought it off Yahoo Auctions as a CD-r copy in 2000 or so, and after playing it for five minutes I felt robbed. Keep in mind, it cost $1.00
YAY FOR SSJ4 GOKU'S SAUSAGE LINK TAIL.
After that...probably Burst Limit. I bought it for full price, and while it was fun and very pretty...it feels incomplete. Plus, the little story blips got old after the 3rd or 4th battle, with the inability to skip and all.

Wow... (Go ahead and kill me for saying this.
) I didn't think Taiketsu was all that bad. Actually, I found it pretty fun! The combos and charging up sucked... sure... but the super moves were awesome! I loved how you had to memorize the right directions to activate the supers. Back in '03, I used to play on the bus with my friends and we always tried different button combinations to figure out how to do the supers!
Anyway... here's the stuff I was pretty disappointed in.
Dragon Ball Z: Ultimate Battle 22 -

I was actually amazed by the game when I saw the commercial for it. My friends and I were really eager to pick it up. The characters included were really cool, and the roster was very impressive, compared to Budokai 1. I had fun with it the first two-three (hehe Increasing numbers FTW!
) years since I bought it. After that, though... I was super pissed off at the game because its combinations were pretty sluggish and tacky, and... I took the disc outta my PS2 and um... stepped on it, spitted on it, smacked it 27 (just like the game's retarded alternate title -_-) times, threw it around a few times, and then finally shattered it into a million pieces. I started to cry after that, because I felt bad about what I did. (I was 9 years old.) I still do, though. Anyway, then there were more shenanigans of me hiding it from my parents, trying to get rid of it, trying to put it back together, my PS2 eating one of the pieces of the broken disc up and getting screwed (later it got fixed on its own), and more. End of story.
Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi -

Oh dear God... BT was probably the second crappiest DBZ game I've ever played. Sagas wasn't in first place, by the way. (Shoot me with a ki blast.
) It had horrible graphics, the cutscenes were total shit on a platter, the characters were sluggish, teleporting was horrible, the frame-rate was horrible, and overall it was rushed and too clunky for "the standards", which Budokai 3 set VERYYYYYY high. Afterwards, though, I very much enjoyed Budokai Tenkaichi 3. I was buying BT2 when it first came out, but bad things happened, and I missed out on it. I haven't even played it, before. But since I already own BT3, I'd say it's the best of the BT series.
And now... the WORST DB item I've ever bought...
*drum roll*
Collector's Edition Dragon Ball Z Arcade Stick by Nuby:

Boy, I tell you... it sure as hell did make me feel like a "nuby". This item was horrible...
The joystick: Crappy and very misplaced. Rotating while playing Budokai 2 was a nightmare.
The buttons: Damn... you had to press SUPER HARD AS SHIT just to actually punch and kick. They were also very misplaced. And not even a year after owning this worthless thing, the buttons stopped working completely!
And the funniest part of this controller was that it had an option called "Turbo". The characters would just start twitching and repeatedly snapping their fingers non-stop in Budokai 2!
But even after all of that, these things had very great memories to them. I still have my arcade stick (believe it or not!
) and Budokai Tenkaichi (although I tried selling it to GameStop numerous times, but their whole trade-in value crap is a rip-off)!
So, that's the end of my story.

I'd agree that now it's sluggish game by comparison, but at the time BT was really pacy I thought. BT2 and BT3 just make it look sluggish.DBZGokuSaiyan wrote:

Oops, I meant I was comparing it to Budokai's 3 speed. Sorry for confusing you.Kid Trunks wrote:I'd agree that now it's sluggish game by comparison, but at the time BT was really pacy I thought. BT2 and BT3 just make it look sluggish.DBZGokuSaiyan wrote:
