The word "Piccolo" isn't a pun.Rocketman wrote:Piccolo would like a word with you.Spazicon wrote:Remember kids, it's not a pun if it's literal.
Correct name/spelling for Tarble?
He's still around.Saiyan-Professor wrote:I agree for the most part I will go with the Daizenshuu EX spelling and when they have not covered the name, I will go with the Simmons' spelling. In this instance, I will make an exception and go with Tarble. By the way, what ever happened to Daimaô/Simmons? I have not seen him post in quite awhile.
Yes. Yes, he is.JulieYBM wrote:He's working. A lot.

It is nice to see you among the living and working is a good thing in light of the economic troubles that is occurring. Now back on topic. If you get a spare moment, could you share with us what you consider the proper spelling of the little Saiyan Prince’s name?Daimao wrote:He's still around.Saiyan-Professor wrote:I agree for the most part I will go with the Daizenshuu EX spelling and when they have not covered the name, I will go with the Simmons' spelling. The Saiyans are very much like the Klingons and Jem'Hadar.
I'm literally never going to get the theme for this show out of my head. It seems like it's going in near constant rotation... "Go Mighty Orbots!" It's worse than "Plantman".Daimao wrote:I can't pay attention to a word this guy says, because of The Mighty Orbots.
As far as the original topic is concerned:
I'd go with Table or Tarble. Both are fine with me. Hell, I don't have any problem with Tahble what with the long 'a' sound and all. The only one of the names that really bother me is Bulma, for reasons that were already brought up in this thread.

As would Trunks, Bra, Drum, Cymbal, Tambourine, Piano, Nappa and Bardock.Rocketman wrote:Piccolo would like a word with you.Spazicon wrote:Remember kids, it's not a pun if it's literal.

It's a toughie. I don't prefer Tarble, because the pun is lost, and I don't prefer Table, because the pun is swallowed up within the more common definition of the word. Tabble is right out. Ta'ble and Taable as well.Saiyan-Professor wrote:It is nice to see you among the living and working is a good thing in light of the economic troubles that is occurring. Now back on topic. All things considered, I guess I (less-than-enthusiastically) lean toward Table, and let the director figure out how they want it pronounced.
