If you're talking about the uncut version.... that isn't a really big thing.... My uncut DBZ & DBGT DVDs call him Mr. Satan.... but if you're talking about the edited version all I have to say is.... wow....dragonpearls wrote:#2, they called H ercule "Mr. Satan", his original name.
.......All I can say is, "It's about time."
So, I got my "Bojack Unbound" today... :)

I think the Toei wave logo was only present on a couple of movies. (Cooler's Revenge and Bojack Unbound for sure)dragonpearls wrote:I think that this is one of the best that FUNimation came out with (the dub I mean).
......I still can't believe that:
#1, they kept the original Toei logo (the one with the waves).
That hasn't been seen since the Pioneer versions.
And
#2, they called H ercule "Mr. Satan", his original name.

I have all 13 movies on VHS subbed recoreded from japanese TV that I got on ebay those are the only ones that have the toei logo on them. I could be wrong though.
Another thing that i didn't like on the Dub was Piccolos entrance when he saved Gohan using the mansenko (fogot what it's called in the dub) the music that was playing sounded really cheesy. The piccolo entrance when saving Gohan in the Broly Dub is SO MUCH BETTER. It is perfect for that part. But on the Bojack, uh uh! No! Bad job FUNi!
Other then that and Gokua's "Fine!" line and the sort of repetitive music, the Dub was good!

I doubt it, because it makes absolutely no sense for them to call the character Mr Satan on the editted version.SaiyamanMS wrote:If you're talking about the uncut version.... that isn't a really big thing.... In any case, who buys the editted versions?
In the dub, the masenko is called...masenko. (Or, if you must, "masenko-ha". At least, that's what my nephew thought it was called.) I didn't think that Piccolo ever used the masenko though.Nataku wrote:Another thing that i didn't like on the Dub was Piccolos entrance when he saved Gohan using the mansenko (fogot what it's called in the dub)

I thought it was a good package in the end.
When the Cell subtitle flub up reared its misfortunate head, I just thought that Goku was somehow alluding to the fact that Cell blew himself up. I mean that's not a good explanation at all, but since I missed that he had actually said Satan it was what I rolled with.
The advertisements at the beginning probably should have been placed only on the edited DVD, if they wanted to have any demographic relevance at all. They at least made me laugh, and my APEX DVD player could skip it, so all was well.
The "what the hell are you" does not top "whoop your ass" though.

Damn it, I've now got a picture of Vegeta arguing with Goku and constantly interrupting him by saying "what?" every sentence.
