This just cracks me up

"According to a news entry on adult film star Asia Carrera's homepage, she has rejected a part in the planned live-action Dragon Ball Z film: "I hate having to turn down cool mainstream work offers... the producers [of the Live Action Dragon Ball Z Movie] just contacted me about being in it.". Asia Carrera declined the part, as she is expecting a child early next year."

I can't believe it; I just checked out her homepage for myself, and it's true. She said that they didn't discuss what part she would have, since she had to turn them down right away, but I think she would've made a dynamite Chi chi.

Dragonball + Porn stars, what a mix. That's the stuff of fanboys dreams (literally, sadly).

-a new character
-Chi-Chi
-Bulma

I personally wouldve wanted her as #18. I never pictured Chi-Chi as having pornstar hot-ness, more of a housewife hot-ness. Bulma on the other hand......

I think the fact that they've already offered a part to a porno actress this early in the game just proves further the kind of nimrods we can expect to be making this film and hence why this film is going to be worse than Waterworld and the Postman combined. All they need to cap it off is Kevin Costner as Goku.

Maybe they thought she looked the part for somebody in the movie? I'm still surprised since, even if a person is a good actor/actress and they nail an audition, if they've done porn, Hollywood producers tend to not touch them with a 10 foot pole.

Yes, but this is an Anime re-make! Practically all of them have somebody perverted on the team, so what better to do then offer a role to a porn star?

For the record, I think they would of made her Chi-Chi aswell. Weird but it works I guess.

Yeah, it's become obvious that they're really rolling out the red carpet of talent for this thing. It's sad too, 'cuz with some planning (and quite a lot of money) it would be possible to make an enjoyable Dragonball movie. Instead, we get a movie that can be seen as a vehicle to help pornstars get mainstream work -__-;;

I still don't see how even a lot of good planning and a lot of money can make a good Dragon Ball movie. I mean, the spikey hair and over-the-top fighting sequences look good on paper and cartoons, but not in real life. Imagine adults dressing up in kung fu and alien outfits flying around blasting cheesey ki attacks at each other. Mmm...cheese.

Or it could be a marketing strategy...they're trying to appeal to the adult audience, who will in turn bring their kids, and the company will make money! I'm a genious!

And I guess playing ChiChi would make sense...

There's your problem, you're picturing CosPlay quality outfits and badly done effects. Instead, picture highquailty outfits and effects and it'll look good, trust me. ^_^
