It seems like every time you don't get your way or have problems expressing yourself, you stammer you feet and play the abused, red-headed stepchild going on a crusade against the establishment. It lost its cuteness a long time ago, and you have somehow already made a caricature of yourself that others are emotionally responding to.
Excuse me. You are completely and utterly uncompromising. Quite frankly, how dare you call ME a child when you only seem to accept things going your way, ever. Nowhere in the other thread did you show a smidgeon of compromising with the other side, the same in this thread, and with regards your paltry reasoning for not having an off topic forum.
What you say, goes. Real adults don't act like this, they communicate with others and try and reach a solution taking both sides into account.
The difference between you and me, aside from me being a much fairer person, is that you simply are in a position where you don't need to stamp your feet and complain about "the establishment". Why does "The establishment" have any meaning here? You're not competent enough as an admin to be taken seriously. You can't even run an off topic board! It may be YOUR forum, but you can't OWN the social structure that's grown up on your forum - you should be thankful you have anyone bothering to go to your forum, you wouldn't have one without them.
YOU are at fault here. It is only proper to raise some noise when someone is acting this immaturely. The problem is you rather shallowly equate maturity to be the way someone talks, and how much they keep to the rules. Neither of these things, I assure you, are a basis for maturity. Just because I may come off as more abrasive, and you sound authoritive, does not change the fact that you lack a basic respect for other people's viewpoints. I may not have much respect for yours but I've EXPLAINED why instead of ultimately falling back on circular reasoning like you do.
Writing off disobedience as immaturity is immature in of itself. It's a simple solution to say that the other person in an argument is being childish and base your entire argument off that.
Either way, if an off topic board isn't working; it's because you aren't running it right. Same as any kind of forum.
This is a community for readers of the website and fans to come and discuss various things that are covered on this website. These topics happen to include DragonBall and anime music videos.
This website does not cover other things, and therefore we do not discuss them.
In general practice, forums that have "off-topic" sections always have those grow to be the main focus of gathering and conversation, far exceeding the actual, original intent of the forum. This also fosters an environment where structure is less important than people being idiots for the sake of being idiots for the sake of attention for the sake of they're complete dolts.
That's not what Daizenshuu EX is about, and we will never have that kind of community.
You really are an uncompromising man. You don't listen to anyone but youself. The minute you open up your forum to the public, you're going to set up many relationships that should be honoured instead of spat upon. Nobody can force you, but that's the true test of how good a man you are.
