So while he's at Chi-Chi's party, Gohan is at home getting stomped by Piccolo, Mai, and his demons. I'm sure there gonna be a shit storm because he blew off his Grandpa to go kick it but at the same time it makes sense. If he was with Gohan then Chatku would have been killed too.

In addition, my theory for a while has been that Goku brings the Suushinchuu WITH him to the party, to show it off to Chi-Chi or something. The bullies get a hold of it and that REALLY gets Goku mad, and prompts him to finally "fight" them.

So Piccolo doesn't get it, which means Bulma tracks it and finds Goku with it, and then...

Well, that's nice that the High School stuff isn't like Spider-Man or Transformers. However, I'm still not convinced. I'd like to hear about more of what goes on after the boring "mainstream" stuff they tacked on. I'll wait until it comes out and if I hear really good things about it, I might go see it.

Still not on my list of things to do, though.

So he gets home and finds everything is all messed up and Gohan is dead. Then cut to Bulma checking her radar and riding her bike up to Gohan's house. She gets inside and at the same time Goku is inside looking around he senses her and thinks it's the murderers who did it. So basically Bulma and Goku will get into it. I mean...that's just my guess.

Well, the old screencaps we have of Bulma holding a gun to Goku's head while he's perfectly calm (even... smiling?) seem to suggest otherwise.

Rather, I think he comes home to find Gohan mortally wounded, and Gohan tells Goku to keep the DragonBall safe and seek out Roshi. Goku doesn't really know where to start, though, so after burying Gohan, he ends up stopping going to school living on his own for a while, until Bulma arrives with her radar...

I've been trying to piece this stuff together for a LONG time. This news has just shed a little more light on some specific parts.

It's not like this is a mystery thriller or anything. The High School part was really the only thing that people were left guessing about.

Also, I just noticed... Goku skipped a freakin' feast to go hang out with Chi-Chi!

Goku wasn't exactly Mr Sensitive in the manga either... But yeah, ditching one party to go to another. Ah well.

Aw, this is what I feared the most...

"What friends?" he replies. "I don't fit into any group."

Though this statement is true about Goku. It's insanely out of character for him to outright say it like that. We're really gonna have "emo" Goku. >.<

Plus the clear switching of feelings between Goku and Chi-Chi. Also like Kendamu said, Goku skipping out on food to hang out with Chi-Chi.

I've heard Chatwin say that he read the Manga to see how Goku would act. But it's clear that the director has no intention of keeping any facet of Goku alive. It's just a stereotypical teenage super hero with the name Goku thrown on him.
