The cover for Movie 11 looks incredibly similar to Movie 10's with Brolly screaming in the background. Woulda been nice if all three Brolly movies had a similar design, but I guess it's fine the way they did things. Goten and Trunks were the focus for the original poster art, so that makes sense. Gotta love those crazy kids
.
Movie 12's cover looks kinda... weird. I think it's just the art style in general that's getting me. As for the two little Goku and Vegeta boxes, I'm assuming the boxes are actually part of Janemba's "puzzle teleportation" parts. Though if that were the case, you'd think they'd make it more obvious. Maybe put more of Janemba's squares in the foreground rather than background or something.

Well, there’s no doubt Gogeta’s the star of the show, so it makes sense to feature him more prominently… but the movie’s title is “The Rebirth of Fusion: Goku and Vegeta”. It’s almost as if they designed it for the other two first and then squeezed them in out of obligation.
This would have been a much more interesting effect. I think the entire run of covers has been great overall, but a lot of them feel pretty cramped. It would have been a better use of space to incorporate them into the existing atmosphere, rather than keeping them separate from everything else. With a tad more creativity I think the covers could have been perfect.DaemonCorps wrote:Movie 12's cover looks kinda... weird. I think it's just the art style in general that's getting me. Not a major fan of either. Movie 11 feels a bit misleading, while the Vegeta and Goku inserts on movie 12 make it feel like a menu screen of a fighter game.

It all looks perfect to me, except the Goku and Vegeta panels. They really don't look like they belong there at all, but too late to change I suppose.
EDIT: And Goten's hair seems to stand out farther then anything else, making it look like a wig.

Gohan: At least he doesn't have his sword out anymore.
Kuririn: Yeah, and your dad put his finger away too.

I totally agree. Not only do they simply look out of place, but the the way they made Goku's image slightly larger than Vegeta's is a perfect example of the classic "Goku's better than Vegeta in every way" vibe that is so common and bugs me a lot.Krakabeast wrote:It all looks perfect to me, except the Goku and Vegeta panels.
Love the Movie 12 art...Gogeta looks amazing and those shots of Goku and Vegeta are a great added touch.

Er...But...He is (Power wise).SSj_Rambo wrote:Goku's image slightly larger than Vegeta's is a perfect example of the classic "Goku's better than Vegeta in every way" vibe that is so common and bugs me a lot.

That is...decent. But SSJ3 Goku looks kinda strange, and Videl's face protector thing is HUGE.

Eew, more computer drawn crap. Give me the traditional posters anyday.
For all the flack that FUNimation gets on this forum for their quote about DBZ, there's some modicum of truth to it: a 9-year-old is born every day. Or in some cases, "reborn". DBZ may be a kids' show, but it's been so close to so many hearts all over Japan, America, and quite possibly, even the world.
