FUNi was even better:
Tullece: "What are you supposed to be?"
Piccolo: "I'm everything you fear"
Tullece: "Stop it, your scaring me"

I used to think those lines were cool too but for some reason every time I hear them it makes me roll my eyes. Tulluce, Vegeta, Piccolo and any other "badass" just don't seem like the type of people to crack those sarcastic "AAaAAAW SNAP NO YOU Dii'iiin" lines.
I think the Ocean script gave them both reasonable dialouge for their characters personally.

Now I have more dubs so maybe I'll post the part 2 of it.

Yeah I know that but that dub was aired in only UK so I called it UK dub.

I don't necessarily find those lines cool...just very "FUNi".

I thought that Turles' FUNi voice was awesome.
Yamcha: Do you remember the spell to release him - do you know all the words?
Bulma: Of course! I'm not gonna pull a Frieza and screw it up!
Master Roshi: Bulma, I think Frieza failed because he wore too many clothes!

Which one, the redub? I never got around to hearing it, I don't think. I can't remember. I really did fucking love his original 1997/1998 voice, though. Who was that... Ted Cole? It doesn't replace Masako Nozawa's performance in that movie (which I think it amazing), but it was pretty damn good.

I am *so* with you on that. There's no way that these two characters would start having seemingly-planned-ahead sarcastic dialogue back and forth with one another like this. It's almost on the level of, "
Pick on someone your OWN altitude!"
I'm OK with a little necro-post on this. It wasn't TOO old.

Chris Patton does a pretty nice job as the inhouse Tulluce. I just wish he had more accurate dialogue. He's got sort of an aristocrat-eque voice for the character.

Yeah, the redub voice. He always said things so calmly and smugly, it was just badass.
And I actually watched the Tree Of Might in Japanese this morning because I was curious to see how Nozawa sounded like as a villain, and indeed, it's amazing. She sounds really badass when she's doing the evil Goku voice.

I'm with ya'. I know I've mentioned it on the podcast, but the little bit of dialogue that really sticks out in my mind is when Tullece is holding Gohan, who tries to punch him, and Tullece goes, "
Oi, oi..." and continues with some very quiet, yet forceful and cruel, dialogue as he crushes Gohan's fist.
It's a really fun compilation, the video in question (the 13 dubs). I love this kind of stuff. DBZ all over the world is so thoroughly intriguing to me, even if at the end of the day it all comes back to the good ol' Japanese version.

It's funny how much better the uncut Ocean Dub was compared to the edited one.

That's why it's funny when people say that Goku sounds too much like a girl in Japanese. Especially during the moments when Goku's serious, or during any scene with SSJ1 Goku pre-Cell saga, he doesn't sound anything like a girl

I hate it when people say Goku sounds like a girl in Japanese. Their just too used to the Funi Dub Goku.

Well he does sound like a women..... because he's voiced by a woman. At the very least he sounds like a man who isn't very masculine.

He sounds like a kid to me but okay. I personally think that voice works a little better then others I've had to listen to.

Scenario:
Your an American child/teen, "DeeBeeZee" is such a "hArDcOrE" show, Goku's so badass, he needs a masculine voice, they figure out that Goku in Japanese is voiced by a women, their hero is now "Gay".

But seriously, why do they bother with the Malaysian dub? Not only is the english is extremely broken, which makes for horrible voice acting (since the "voice actors" have no idea what the fuck they are reading), but also it is extremely inconsistent, I was watching a clip of movie 10 and I found that Videl is referred to as 'Kami,' Goten is 'Goku,' Goku is 'Gohan,' and here's my favorite: Piccolo is "Uncle Strange.'
I think I could do better reading off of a Japanese script (a language, which I have no idea how to speak), with character names scrambled.

Listining to both versions of the Ocean Dub, Tullece sounded like he was voiced by Brian Drummond. But, as you said he may be voiced by Ted Cole.
