My roomie has the seasons sets! Everything about them is tops in my opinion. I, myself, own the series in singles, that's where the insert art came from.

I also have the first two Yu Yu Hakusho Season Sets, but I won't get the third one until I have enough money to buy it along with Season 8 and the 7 & 9 Double Feature.

After Season 9 and the 12/13 Double feature...what do you think they will put out next?

I know they wont put them out in America since we just got the brick sets, but I'm kind of jealous at those single dvd things they had over there, where the number was at the bottom right and there were a few characters on the front; that and the single release movies bc all of those covers looked so cool.

I do however love the steel case idea though.

To me, there was absolutely no way in hell that Kid Buu would not be on the cover of Season 9.

Y'know...I kinda noticed a bit of a pattern here.

Season One - Vegeta (Villain)
Season Two - Goku (Hero)
Season Three - Freeza (Villain)
Season Four - Trunks (Hero)
Season Five - Cell (Villain)
Season Six - Super Saiyan Goku (Hero)
Season Seven - Piccolo (technically this Piccolo art is from the fight with Raditz, so he's sorta still a villain at that point)
Season Eight - Vegeta (Under Babidi's spell; Villain)
Season Nine - Vegetto (Hero)

What do you guys think?

I would have almost bet money that that above pic of kid buu was gonna be the cover, but I'm quite pleased with the Super vegito pose.

Yup. Brought that up in previous Season Set threads after the release of Season 4 or 5 I believe. Unfortunately, the pattern was ruined with the dismal that is Season six. Bah!

What I would have preferred - Hero/Villain Pattern-wise:

Season One - Vegeta
Season Two - Piccolo
Season Three - Freeza
Season Four - Trunks
Season Five - Cell
Season Six - Ssj 2 Gohan
Season Seven - Dabura (?) Pikkon (?) (not exactly a villain per-se, but an opposition of our lead hero..so blah? =P)
Season Eight - Goku (any form)
Season Nine - Kid Buu

Piccolo's not relevant in Season 2 and Dabura doesn't even appear in Season 7.

That would have been great! Goku would probably have to be SSJ3 to fit in with the part of the series.

Would have fit the whole Namek theme going on in my opinion. Much more fitting than slapping Piccolo on the cover of Season 7. And, just edited Season 7 pick. Mind you, this is just a preference in selection according to the supposed pattern that was going on with the covers.

Great Elder as in like King Kai or Guru?

If you meant Guru, Id say they should have gone with a pic of synced Nail Piccolo since they were on Namek, and that would have opened up season &'s cover.

"Guru" isn't even close to an accurate translation of the character's name, but yeah. That's the character they mean.

May not be an accurate translation but it fits decently enough.

I could see how 'great elder' could mean Guru since he was the eldest Namek and father to all of the nameks and such. But still, if a namek went on the cover, it should have been Piccolo.

I hate Super Saiyans. Goku and company look so much better in their base forms; Super Saiyans are ugly, boring, and they all look the same.
