Because he probably had the information on his site, so they contacted him through there, and now he's backtracking to remove all traces of it everywhere he posted it. Of course, there's a chance FOX does not even read these boards, and/or can prove that JAPPO is the same person that owns the other site, but, better safe than sorry I guess?

Ah, it's a possibility I assume. DaizEX is a fairly well-known DragonBall fansite though, so I'd assume they know it exists (it's been around much longer than Jappo's site, and does register on Google and the like). It's only common sense for a studio to monitor higher volume fansites for leaked material.

In either case, I'm still skeptical about the validity of any of this. If Mike is contacted by Fox, I guess that will prove they did in fact take some action. The only thing that will prove this script was genuine will be the film itself though.

What about the novelization of the movie, which comes out on February 24? I don't really read novelizations of movies, so I'm not sure how accurate they often are in comparison with the actual movie. But it should be a way to tell if that script is somewhat accurate. Maybe.

Good point. I wonder if this script is real, but it still will take a while to find out.

The tidbits that we were privy to read like actual movie scripts. It’s a very specific style of writing; you can’t just make that up.

Hmmmm, I have noticed that too. Anyway, probably someone on another forum just posted a link and said 'DBZ MOVIE SCRIPT' and that attracted people.

Not at all, I agree with you there.

All movies do this sort of thing though; its all about selling stuff, sadly.

Not to bring it up as my eternal comparison, but as its the only other comic-related movie by FOX coming out in the next several months; Wolverine's books come out in March, while its movie comes out in May:

If FOX is indeed hounding you in the first place and this isn't one of your games.

Why exactly does the thread need to be deleted now? You deleted all the incriminating information from your posts. So there isn't any thing that FOX can do about it. You complied with their cease and desist order. The thread doesn't need to go anywhere. And on top of it you didn't get the desist order from posting things here anyway.

Besides, isn't it a little too late now? That information has been spread all over the internet. The harm is already done.
