Need some advice with a fan-fiction character design

Post by Shadowolf » Sun Oct 17, 2004 3:42 pm

I'm a bit stuck on how to color this character. I got 3 different color pallets posted here:

Tel me which one looks best. This is supposed to be a decendant of Trunks and Pan. Keep in mind these are just rough sketches, so don't comment on style, just color. Any feedback is appreciated. Thanks all!

I'm partial to the design on the far left, because it looks like Vegetto's outfit. 8)

Hmm... now that you mention it... if I combine the two on the left, it might look like Vegetto's outfit. Hmmm like this perhapse:

Slightly on/off topic, I'm making a manga also, but its not DB related. Its about a renegade Grim Reaper who's gone on a killing spree ^^

I'm making a non-DB manga, too. It's about the convictions we all carry and how they isolate us. From there it stems into different viewpoints of what forms someone's persona, whether it's faith, regret, or whatever else.

But who the fuck honestly cares about that? I mean REALLY. What am I thinking?

The artwork will rock, though. Rock hard.

Back on topic...

Anyway, just make sure you don't make him just like Vegeta and Trunks, unless that's your goal. This character IS related to Pan and Goku, after all (though if you're acknowledging the existance of GT, this character would be impossible, since Pan didn't recognize the lady who looked just like Bulma or her kid that looked like Vegeta, which would be really bizarre if she was married into the Briefs family, unless they divorced while they were young, were never married and had a one night stand, or her age hit her REALLY HARD). Not to nitpick, just something to keep in mind.

Well, I pretty much am disowning GT in my timeline as much as possible. I'm not much of a GT fan, so yeah continuity doen't bother me. My anime will probably have less continuity then the Manga/anime, but much more than the movies.
Besides, I kinda need this character and her brother to be descendants of Trunks and Pan for the story to work. It's called "The Last Saiya-jin", and it would kinda suck if the last 2 saiya-jin were from one family and not the other. Loto (this girl) is going to be more Vegeta-ish and her brother is gonna be more Son-Family-esque (hey I invented 2 new words! Weee!!!).
BTW, I am having a hard time naming Loto's brother. I want it to be something AT related but not too obvious/obnoxious. The only 2 I could come up with are Bardock (which most people hate) and Dai (from the DQ anime). Any suggestions?
