Looks a little like Crisis Core to me.

I hope they replace the character portraits with in-game model faces. The photos are a bit jarring to me.

Bulma making up the numbers? They're reaching.

It sorta reminds me of Shin Budokai with the multiple health bars and the little charge bars at the bottom. I don't know... the games seems kinda generic, but then again it is a movie game and they suck 9 times out of 10. I'll still probably end up getting it just because.

Now that I look at it more, it looks like the game runs on the Budokai engine.

EDIT: Shoot, some of the poses are ripped straight out of the Budokai games.

Awesome screencaps. Can't wait to see more, especially with Goku and Piccolo.

From the looks of it, the mechanics are identical or similar to the Shin Budokai games (even has the same aura and impact special effects). That's very promising for the gameplay, and only makes sense. Odds are it'll play the same way, just with less flying.

I'm just glad this isn't a shitty platformer. So let's see what will the roster be?

Goku
Bulma
Yamcha
Roshi
Gohan
Piccolo
Mai
Chi Chi

Seems like a rather small array of fighters but we'll see. I'm more excited for the game then the movie in any event.

Come to think of it "Texas Battle" (that's his name right?) isn't entirely out of the question.

PSP games often look that way if you stare too closely at them. On the PSP screen it might not be too noticeable.

That's one of the issues I have with PSP; sometimes its games tend to straddle the "Uncanny Valley" when they try to make the faces look realistic.
On hiatus.

So, I'm guessing I'm the only person who thinks this game LOOKS like Tekken?

Nah I brought it up in the other thread too. Hopefully it plays as good as Tekken.

To me this looks like something that would be on PS1. I don't know... it just seems all very wired to me. What would you think if this wasn't a DragonBall game? Would you still think it looked OK?

The aura sprites seem to be ripped straight from Shin Budokai, so basically I'm expecting this to be an ugly version of Shin Budokai without all the Ki attacks.

So in other words it looks like it's going to be awful.

Isn't a PSP about as advanced as a PS1 in terms of graphics and such? So it's not really surprising. They get away with it because it's on a PSP screen.

Actually, the PSP can get some nice graphics. Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep looks amazing.

I dunno...it might look better than a standard PS1 game, but it's still pretty simple shapes and textures if you look closely. If you were playing it on a TV screen it wouldn't even be up to PS2 standards I think.

All PSP games look good until you take screen caps and look at them closely, if you ask me. Maverick Hunter X looks amazing when you're playing it, but if you look closely X is just a bunch of blocks and tubes.

You can't expect 'em all to look like God of War: Chains of Olympus, guys. These graphics are above-average for a PSP game.

Gameplay wise, there'll probably still be a good amount of Ki-based attacks, even if not all of them actually use ki. Physical attacks count too, and I'm sure non-ki-users like Bulma have specials and ultimates, too.
