I think so too. It sounds like they're short and don't really matter in the long run. We'll just have to wait and see how it feels when it's all put together.

In the holy texts he's not retarded (maybe that wasn't the right word) 100% of the time, but... I think that was for the best.

If I have to make a list:

-Goku's generally friendly, he doesn't let little things get him down.
-Half the time stuff seems to fly over his head. He doesn't always get things right away.
-Obvious one; he loves to fight for the challenge and to grow stronger.
-If a bad guy threatens or tries to kill Goku's friends, Goku will intervene, no questions asked no matter how powerful the bad guy is.
-Goku doesn't have inner-I-can-tell-you're-a-good-person radar like Luffy has; but if a bad guy tells him they'll change, and if Goku believes them, he'll let them go.
-Goku isn't overly concerned with his appearance; he keeps himself clean but he wouldn't be floofing himself up with facial creams and hair gel.
-He's not excessively horny and he doesn't do public displays of affection very well--never once in the manga do you see him give anyone a hug or a kiss; all that tends to be kept off-screen or in the privacy of his and Chi-Chi's bedroom.
-Goku has no problem with nudity; he's very comfortable with his own body.
-He eats A LOT, and can be persuaded to endure boring situations in exchange for delicious meals.
-He can hunt his own food and doesn't need any weapons other than his bare hands to catch and prepare a meal.
-Goku doesn't give up, and he's not one to sit around and whine/angst about his situation. He'll keep looking for a way to win even if it looks like he's not the one who can beat the bad guy.

If I can think of anything else, I'll come back to edit this post.

Excuse me, but the VERY FIRST THING we see him do is catch a meal. NOT with his bare hands, but with his tail and a swift kick. No hands involved whatsoever! =p

That is true. I guess I should've been more specific. ^^;

Still, the point stands that he can catch food without any man-made weapons at his disposal.

And to my knowledge, Chatwin's Goku doesn't have a tail to catch food with anyways (I have heard he may have the tail in oozaru form though; I don't know if that's true or not.)

I wanted to make a list after the question about making one, it makes my post look less essay-like if I list the points instead. :3

LOL, I didn't mean it that way. ^^; I was just trying to list as many canon Goku qualities as I could think of.
Aside from filler, Goku was never seen dropping his pants after he had that growth spurt inbetween the 22nd and 23rd Budoukai so that makes my point semi-invalid anyway.
