Dragon Ball: Evolution- Speculation and Discussion
So, people _did_ go "Gah, wtf?" over Table...
... and if random extras are needed, DB (especially stuff before Piccolo) has a ton of 'em.
L'unch, random villagers, Rabbit gangstahs, a bunch of Budokai characters (finalists and otherwise) (a couple of whom got filler episodes that added more extras), some random pandas, Sno, Upa, Bora, random people Oolong terrorized, ... Penguin Village (XD), filler people T'en and Chaozu scammed, whoever the heck Shura the filler demon kidnapped, random extras from the movies...
(... most of these are not animal-people, and many take things more seriously than Goku, who usually winds up saving them just because he's Goku. XD ).

I really really love how enthusiastic the cast has been.

So is the original manga. But that's what makes Dragonball...DragonballSnail wrote:The highschool segment of the film is ridiculous.JAPPO wrote: I know he had no way of knowing, but to make comparisons to "The O.C." is just ridiculous.

There's a difference. I Love Lucy is funny...Sam Kinison is also funny. But you wouldn't want a remake of I Love Lucy done in the Sam Kinison style of comedy (He's VERY vulgar for those who have never seen him).Pain wrote:So is the original manga. No, you're right Gozar. It's not the Dragonball we know. But the movie isn't really following the conventions of Dragonball either. It's something different altogether, which is fine. No, it doesn't have the feel of the Anime. From what I have seen of the movie, it has the feel of the movie, though.
I would be interested to hear a translation of the lyrics.

To show my appreciation, I'll only beat them half to death.
If that new French trailer is any indication; that means this movie's going to be dubbed in a good number of countries' native languages.
I have to agree that "Rule" doesn't sound like a Dragon Ball song. It's not a horrible song, (It's semi-decent; can't see myself mp3-playering it though) but it seemed way more fitting to maybe a mecha anime, or something angsty.

On hiatus.

Let's see... A quick comparison of the only two things people claim it could be...

The skin coloring isn't really right for either. Though it is the same nasty shade of gray that the fish monster was.
Both Oozaru and Shenron have entirely red eyes, so the pretty blues seem a bit off for a monster. Note that Shenron also has hair to the side of his eyes, though the hair in the trailer's eye comes down to the brow.
Also note that the eye opening occurs as the Dragonballs are swirling, followed by a scene of the Dragonballs hitting the ground.
Incidentally, the first glimpse of Chatku's red eyes came in the exact same location, between the swirling Dragonballs, followed by them hitting the ground.
Earlier hints at Chatku's "Oozaru" form definitely had red eyes. (1 2)
I'd say it's most likely Oozaru, with the eyes changing colors after his rage subsides. Slightly less likely is a new monster. Even less likely than that is actually Shenron.
