I'm excited now, and I saw the Ozaru(sorry if its spelled wrong) and I'm really pumped. I know this movie doesnt follow the manga too closely but If I wanted it to be 100% of the manga Id just read the manga. this is an evolved form(hence the name) of dragonball, a new interpretation and I'm excited...plus it comes out on my 2 year anniversary(my girlfriends a big fan too) so this is going to be a really fun movie regardless of how good/bad it is...

Well you seem to have a very sane prospective of this movie. As long as you don't go on crazy fan rambles, then you're cool with me.

Shenlong looks pretty neat. I'm glad that the Fishzaru turned out to be Oozaru. I figued that Fishzaru wasn't the final look, but I still liked cracking jokes about it.

I haven't really been following the movie as closely lately and I only saw the Shenlong in the new preview. What are you guys talking about with the Oozaru, are you talking about the close up of the eye or was there something else?

I wonder if the eye changes from blue to red, or if that's they're just different variations of it (like Piccolo's Paris explosion with the fire and without).

I think JAPPO has been contacted by Fox obviously because his site is a gold mine for marketing. He would probably have a lot of information. I think he would even have a finished copy of the movie (or close to it) if he says the eye shot is true. Maybe I'm right, maybe I'm overreacting.

Anyway, I have come to accept at this point if I wanted to read the Manga, I would read the Manga. This is a bit of a modern spin on Dragonball and from the looks of the footage, it is looking better and better. Shenron looks a bit too fantasy Dragon like for me. Heck, I prefer his Anime form, but that is the only thing I don't like about the new footage.

While I'm not saying DragonBall usually makes the internet hum with praise, I can't help but laugh at the immense storm of negative comments I see on other sites when new footage/pictures are shown.

As for me...eh, I've finally, completely written this film off. Much like the Street Fighter LAM with JCVD, it's just like a bad dream or sorts and I fully expect it to do mediocre at the box office, ensuring that it will be the last of its accursed kind.

If we're real lucky, it'll bomb so bad that Fox will cancel their plans to do a Cowboy Bebop LAM.

The effects are interesting to me. They are not real good, but they are cartoonish in a way, similar to how some movies from Japan look. I wonder if this is what they were going for, or whether it's just me.
