The Japanese version of METEOR.

Did this have a one armed costume for Future Gohan?

Judging by the fact that he only uses one are (and his legs) to fight, I figured either that was the case, or they planned it and just left it out.

So does anyone know?

Nope, he has both arms in both versions sadly.
This really bugged me too, his fighting style is BASED on the concept of him having one arm.. whether there was a technical issue where they couldn't remove the arm, or they.. simply forgot, has never really been answered.

Not ALL of his moves only use one arm. His base form's throw uses both of his arms.

Well it wasn't his super finish move, but yeah. I find that really cool.

Ah, I didn't realise that. But unlike punches and stuff, the throw would still be basically the same without the other arm. I'm not sure if you'll get what I mean.... it's kind of hard to explain.

Actually the two arms really ARE needed for the animation to work. While his SSJ form's throw uses one arm, the base form's throw uses the generic rapid punch animation using both arms. If a one armed costume used that throw, it wouldn't work and it'd look weird.

So I think they could've gone through with the one-armed costume if it wasn't for that stupid throw. >_>

So maybe they planned it as a second costume, then realised they'd screwed that throw up, so just scrapped the idea.

They probably just did it for the sake of not having to deal with ratings. It's not good for the kiddies if they see a guy running around with only one arm, and it also makes things easier on the animators; they can make him do stuff with his legs, feet, and an arm, while for some of his more utilitarian animations they don't have to do special things.
I dislike you intensely.(probably)

this always bugged me...When I first tried Future Gohan in the game I noticed that most of his moves were with one arm and I was like...maybe his battle damaged look has him with one arm...so I beat the crap out of him in another fight to see if I can get him to go battle scared, and well sure enough his arm was still there. I was so pissed, I thought it was the american version only(like a censoring for the game) but from what I read the Japanese game has him with 2 arms too. So the mechanics for his fighting style basiclly serve no purpose except to remind you that the devs were too lazy to get rid of his arm...
...Wait what are you doing? Are you still reading this? I finished what I had to say, why don't you move on to the next post?
