Er... There were reasons to believe the guy.

Wrong, this will lead to a completely awesome Blu-ray release which I will happily import and play on my PS3 since America and Japan are in the same BD region. :D

They could always whip out the original pitch hitter... Kōichi Yamadera.

That would be one helluva great stand-in.

Oh my fucking God I can't believe this is happening.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW

I really don't know how to express myself right now. Very exciting. Someone should set up a live stream just for the DaizEX community so we can let out our fanboy glee together!

Well, if they'd give it a better, more accurate redub... I wouldn't mind.

Accuracy won't matter with Chris Sabat's smokey Vegeta all over the place.

Imagine they decide to crop that too.

Um...how exactly?

...It's going to be in 16x9...

What, crop it back down to 4:3?

O.o?

Well, they've done stranger things!

But seriously:

Of course I hope Funi gets their hands on it, so we can get Daimao subs. And while I don't care about the REST of the dub, I hope they keep the original music in this version.

Why?

So the menus don't make my ears bleed.

I've been bed ridden with pneumonia for the last week and really haven't had a chance to use the internet. What an awesome bit of news to get! My big problem with the Anime is how terribly paced it was, and if this somehow fixes that well, I'll be about the happiest guy around. I'm trying not to get too excited just yet because I'm not sure how they're going to edit it down. If the popular idea is correct and they are removing all the filler scenes then I'm just out of words. I might be able to watch and enjoy the series entirely now!

And about the Wasted Wisher thing:

He proved his credibility by uploading the character design sheets from the new special. After that I trusted his word.

This news is very intriguing. I'm trying to hold out super excitement until we know a little more. Must stay away from 2chan.

Well, if they do get their hands on this I will buy it. Merely to see how much they have improved. If they are a decent dub or not now.
90% of dragonball fans detest dragonballgt. If you are one of the 10% who like GT, post this in your signature.

Honestly? I'm guessing the best we'll get is their usual dub, but with the original music. At the very least the voices are going to stay the same, so we'll still get the pig-snort Kaio.

But it's not like Funi is picking up a brand-new series that nobody has heard of. They're very likely going to give this the same treatment as regular Dragon Ball, to have consistency for their usual DB DVD buyers.

DBZ, now with 60% less staring and grunting! Finally a version my friends who haven't seen DBZ might consider watching.

This has to be one of the biggest days in Dragonball history. Now all we have to do is find a way to get uncompressed transport streams of this release so we can all enjoy it the way is really was meant to be seen.

Or hope Toei has some commercial sense and release Blu Rays relatively quickly.

Yes, yes I know.

What I am saying is that most people didn't even mention this and instead we got the usual mix of default internet sceptics and optimists.

I know a few posters said "Hey, this guy was good for info before." But that was a small miniority compared to the 'pick a camp and stick with it' crowd.

They do already have replacement VAs for characters like Tenshinhan and Kame Sennin in the new games and such.

I can't believe people are complaining about the damn fillers. The show's nowhere near Naruto-levels when it comes to filler. (*Reaction when reading the first few pages*)

But this sounds absolutely phenomenal. This will be cool to see ;)

Naruto's filler is actually entertaining and funny. DBZ takes its worst qualities, and slams it into a story arc.

Also, to completely tear apart your argument, Toei Animation =/= StudioPierrot. Different companies. Maybe do some research outside of "OH HEY FIGHTING ANIMU IN JUMP WITH ORANGE CLOTHES AND BLONDE HAIR."
