Wow... it... actually looks... good.

But it's hilarious how it's the Shin Budokai engine. Oh well, at least its not some shitty in-house engine from some unknown small-time American company.

I hadn't thought of it until later but; if they were going to use actual VA's to dub the game, why didn't they just have Funimation do it? I think aside from Funi's Roshi, the voices could still fit the live-action counterparts.

Does FOX have something against using the Funi VA's?

Nothing against Lowenthal, but why not just use Schemmel?

Does anyone know the cast list for this game?

Woah, the game actually looks pretty sweet. I'll deff be buying this. It looks really similar to the Shin Budokai Engine.

I guess Roshi learned the Mafuba somewhere along the line... though if they're not going to have Kami in any human form, Roshi is the most logical character to know how to perform the Mafuba, so I guess it makes sense.

Thank you VegettoEX :p apparently some people forgot about that, even on the comments of the gameplay footage page. I mean... they're saying it doesn't look like Dragonball Z. Well? What doesn't look like Dragonball Z? ONLY how the characters look and I guess the background. They move and act EXACTLY like how you would expect Dragonball characters to move in a game that is based on the Shin Budokai engine.

Also Son Gohan had the nyoibo before Goku, duh. Gohan GAVE it to Goku! So he must've had it before him :S

Seriously, I think people really don't know about the King Piccolo saga and saying that it's not Dragonball Z. Well no, it isn't, it's like Dragonball (without the Z) :S I don't know, but I think the creators of the movie at least researched the manga quite a bit.

Namco Bandai probably had a role in the voice changing. All of the games I own from them have dubs from LA, not Vancouver, Calgary, or Texas.

I hear Schemmel is in Yu-Gi-Oh! 5Ds which is a New York dub, so yeah.

It could also be if Namco Bandai wanted to use non-unionized voice actors, since AFAIK Yuri isn't Union. And Union dubs cost more.
"I like the money it brings in, but Dragon Ball Heroes is the worst. That's actually the real reason I decided to start working on new material. I was afraid Bandai would make something irredeemably stupid like Super Saiyan 4 Broly." - Akira Toriyama, made up interview, 2013.

Roshi did it in the Manga and the Anime, how could you miss it?! Even Tenshinhan knows it.

From Toon Zone:
Well, I played a lot of this game earlier today. It was pretty terrible. It was like Budokai, only much much more bland. The cutcenes were the worst part. Some of them I swear lasted 10-20 minutes. It's like "We only have so few characters and so few fights, so let's make the game feel longer by adding most of the movie script for cutcenes". I mean, they had a few cutcenes showing Goku in High School being bullied by these 2 guys, named Fuller and Agundes(who keep calling Goku "Geeko". Funny, right?). It's not like you actually fight them, so having those lenghty cutscenes of stuff like that was a complete waste of time. Reading the dialogue, it seems that supposed Ben Ramsey script was definitely an earlier draft, because quite a few of the same things showed up. Goku and Gohan's speech, the fact that Gohan wants to celebrate Goku's birthday but Goku decides to go to ChiChi's party, Oozaru is called "Oozaru the Destroyer", etc. Also, Bulma calls the Dragon Ball a "Promethius Orb" and there's a joke that because of that the DBE (Dragon Ball Energy Locator) was originally called the PEE.
Is 'PEE' suppose to be something Toriyama contributed?

The graphics are not the best but the gameplay sure as heck looks awesome!
90% of dragonball fans detest dragonballgt. If you are one of the 10% who like GT, post this in your signature.

"Geeko"? Really? :?
Lack of creativity much, script writers?
Used it all up renaming the radar and thinking up OC character names, eh?

If I had to think up a bad-spirited name for Chatku in that vein, I'd pick something like "Jigoku". You know, "Hell". It's already got the word "Goku" in it. Or maybe "Gokuaku" which is "heinous".

I understand they gotta stick with English though, so I guess neither of mine would count.

Could always be the other way around.

..

I'd love to see what sort of signature moves (besides the Kamehameha, and Mafuba) they've stuck into the game.
