What if(s)? - Accurate Dub (Anime footage, Video Game audio)

I figured with the new announcement of a DBZ with what seems to be no filler, this may also have a chance at an accurate dub from FUNimation.

So, I took video footage from the Freeza Saga and mixed it with Audio from Burst Limit's Freeza Saga Cutscene.

Whoo hoo, for me being lazy and just copying the info, I put up on the YouTube link.

That's awesome, I sincerely hope if Funi gets their hands on it they'll dub it just as faithfully.

Kinda weird hearing Shemmel(sp) say "Son Goku."

Isn't it though? I wonder if he knew that was Goku's surname.

Yeah, actually. I think that was the first (and so far only) time he's said Son Goku. That obviously was due to previous scripting, that never said it.

Could you put the earlier part in the anime to Budokai 1's "IT'S OVER, FREEZA!"? :D

Sure. Just gotta go get the footage from Budokai 1.

Wait, what episode was that in the anime? I forgot what FUNimation dubbed that as.

I think it's in #96 - Explosion of Anger. The dubline in its spot is "Now you will know the horror, Freeza!"

Ah, alright. I got the Budokai footage. So, this should be easy... tomorrow. I'd do it right now, but I gotta finish my homework and go to bed, which just means go to my room after 11:00 (on school days). I would make the clip on my PSP, but the PSP can't really do that.

You're right, it is 96.

This is awesome.

Any chance you can do the same thing with "That earthling's name... is Krillin!" (episode 101)?

Requests complete, I also threw in the Burst Limit version of "It's over, Freeza" which is "I'm truly angry, Freeza!".

This time the video is in full screen. I had to download the videos from YouTube, I can't find a decent ripper, or I would have ripped all the footage from my Season 3 Boxset. Plus, for Episode 96, I have the single too. 101, that's a different story...

Anyways:

Enjoy!

"It's over" is so much better. The latter sounds like he's about to roll up a newspaper and swat Freeza's nose with it.

"Bad Freeza! *swat* I told you not to claw the furniture! I am truly angry with you! *puts Freeza outside*"

True, but since I threw in another Burst Limit audio (Puto's request), So I added the Burst Limit version of "It's over", just for the hell of it.

Actually, I like "I'm truly angry!" Just a bit more, but "It's Over" isn't in any way bad.

I have to disagree. Goku exclaiming that he's "truly angry" sends chills for me. "It's over!" is cliche'd and doesn't have the same emotional impact, to me.

"It's Over" is the line used in the manga. At least the English translation.

Whatever the case, this shows just how much better the voice actors have gotten over the years. Maybe you should put up a video comparing what Goku said in the actual episode followed by a dub-over using the Burst Limit/Budokai 1 scene. It would be great to see the "It's Over, Frieza!" line done like that.

In the Japanese version of the anime, he says, "I'm mad!"

What does he say in the Japanese manga?
