Anyone get "Awakening" DVD?

I can definitely see why most people were displeased with the English version of Gohan's "Awakening." I never knew the song actually coincided with what was going on. For example, the lyrics were about having a power deep within you and such. Definitely enjoyed it. Its bout time we got that DVD I'm surprised its not talked about that much around here.

I had to look everywhere to find a copy of it, so maybe that's why not too many people are talking about it. Either that or there really isn't more to say about the episode. And for some reason, that scene seems more powerful to me with the subtitles turned off when the song kicks in...dunno why.

Hmm, my bestbuy is filled with copies.

And yea, it is much more powerful with the subs off.

Its strange how time flies and things change. I'd never thought I'd ever say this but Dragonball Z's popularity is declining. Crazy isnt it? This is the same show which outdid WWE Raw in ratings for one week. I can't believe its going away

slowly anyway.

Funny you should ask... I just bought it right now! lol. I'll watch it after I get my speech prepeared for tomorrow's class... I'm really looking forward to seeing this on DVD... It's been a while!

Well...wrestling ain't doin' so hot nowadays, either. And there aren't any reruns of those shows to give it an excuse.

Just watched it... and yes, the subs screw you over, they take away focus from a very powerful, if not THE most powerful moment of DBZ.

I bought it too. Thank best buy, they have all the cell games releases there. The song definately fits with the ongoing dialog I guess...

I remember I was wondering why so many people disliked the FUNi version and I hav to say I'm gonna side with them now. That whole dialogue with Gohan IS NOT FITTING AT ALL. The only part i liked was when he said "I won't watch it anymore." But other than that it completely ruined the scene.

I got it the day it came out and made myself a new avatar with it

theres still a ton of them at Mediaplay, so try that if you cant find it, its a great disc.

Just like to add that it is my favorite DVD release yet, even though it took f**king forever to come out but hey I'm happy that I can now see the greatest moment in DBZ history whenever i want.
