Who can do a character's voice

Post by Super Sonic » Tue Nov 02, 2004 1:01 am

Out of curiosity, has anyone here ever tried to imitate a character from DBZ's voice at one time or another, whether it wwas a Japanese voice, or English one? Myself, I can do Mr. Satan's English voice, though I still have yet to record myself doing so. My cousins say I'm dead on though

I've been told that I can do a good dub Vegeta and Piccolo (who are strangely both played by Christopher Sabat)... other than that I sometimes try a Goku (Both Dub and Japanese), but I haven't really asked anyones opinion on those... ^^;

Ooooh I can do some voices! Off the top of my head, I can do Captain Ginyu, Jace, Recoom, Babidi, and Majin Buu. I used to be able to do some Chris Sabat voices...but my voice changed a bit too much lol, I can barely do them anymore.

I can do other voices besides DBZ too! Mario,Luigi,Wario and Waluigi from Mario Kart Double Dash, Terry, Yamazaki, and Geese from Fatal Fury, Adam Sandlers Little Nicky and Slayer from Guilty Gear ^^

I can do Piccolo, Vegeta, Vegetto, and Future Trunks.

And, in non-DBZ, I once did all 3 Three Lights from Sailor Moon Sailor Stars.

Can anyone do one of the Japanese voices? I can't, but that's more because I don't know how to use a Japanese accent.

And, I can go Goku's Japanese voice to a certain degree.

Since I don't speak Japanese, i can't do any Japanese voices, but I can do a really good Mr. Satan, Vegeta, and Piccolo... If anyone cares I do a good dub Kuwabara from Yu Yu Hakusho. Wow, except for Mr. Satan they're all Sabat voices! :?

How about the narriator? I'm sure just about anyone could do Season 3's Monster Truck narriator. I can do the DragonBall GT one, and be all like "On the last episode of Dragon Ball Geee Teee..." gotta do it all mellow like XD

I was told I was pretty good at Freeza, Saiyan saga Vegeta, Piccolo and Future Trunks. But that was awhile ago...

Just re-tried it. Not so much Freeza, I'm alright with Piccolo, Vegeta's is still pretty good and same with Future Trunks I think. All dub, though. My friend wants me to try some Japanese ones, I'll give it a shot some day.

Non-dbz? Simba from The Lion King. Heh.

This is all great but, I want to hear some clips.

Sounds like there might be some "talent."

I can kind of mimic Nozawa's Gokuu. That's all that really comes to mind for me, though.

I can do Vegeta (Drummond and Sabat), Goku (all the FUNi actors), Piccolo (Sabat... sometimes the season 1 + 2 voice. Sometimes.), Tien, the myriad of retarded dub narrators, Mr. Satan (not so well), Sonny's Krillin, Future Trunks, Adult Gohan, Freeza (Seasons 1+2), Bardock, that fat retarded blue catfish guy, Buu (all the dub forms), Roshi (don't remember which dub voice it is), and some other people I probably can't think of.

And no, I can't do any of the Japanese counterparts, if only because I can't speak Japanese. I can imitate some of their surprised sounds, though... I guess.

I'm writing a fanfic that concerns a whole bunch of fictional characters, and the Dragon Ball characters play outstanding roles. In order to get the "feel" when I'm writing a scene, I try to imitate the voices of the characters speaking, and have since evaluated my performances.

[Thar be dub voices below!]

Vegeta: General feel, but oddly Aussie sounding (!)
Bulma: As good as a straight guy can imitate a valley girl.
Chi-Chi: A little too harsh, but, hey, I'm a guy.
Piccolo: Not quite deep enough (due to the phlegm in Sabat's throat whenever he does this voice), but good.
Kuririn: Very, very good.
Android 18: Pretty good (the deep voice makes it easier).
Goten: A little too goofy-sounding.
Trunks: Pretty good.
Mr. Buu: PERFECT... but he's fused with Uub by now, so he's not in it.
Hercule: PERFECT... and it's useful!
Uub: Not much to go on, so not very good.

Please, B-kun, racord your Vegetto voice and post it immediately. I've got to hear this.

Here's what I can do (DBZ/GT):
Vegeta (Sabat dub version)
Piccolo (Sabat dub version)
Goku (Schemmel dub version - angry and surprised only)
Dub Announcer (Third season - on)
All of the Ginyu Force (dub)
Satan (Dub and Japanese)
Krillin (Strait dub version)
Future Trunks (dub version)
Android 17 (dub version - only on good days)
All of Buu's forms, both dub and Japanese
Bardock (dub version - only on good days)
Muten Roshi (dub and Japanese)

Unfortunately, I have a bad cold right now. That, and I can only record when I'm alone, because even when I tell people to shut up, they still make a lot of noise.
Battle High 2, starring Kyle Hebert as well as myself, has been released on Xbox 360, OUYA, PC, Linux, Mac, and Xbox One!

Would be cool if people started posting their clips :)
What about reviving the fandub section that I remember from back in time (maybe not exactly that name, but).
