Er yeah the last names are stupid and Oozaru pronunciation is a small topic for debate[/on topic part]

Now that I've got the necessary "on-topic-ness" out of the way, onto what I really wanted to address!

Kind sir, I had my quote sigged quite a while before yours and I also noticed that you had one similar to mine a couple of days ago, I just didn't say anything about it! So you in fact are the "quote stealer". I will concede, however, that your avatar is cooler than mine! :evil:

If I have to lock another one, we're seriously *done* until this movie's released.

I always thought it was "OH-OH-ZAR-OO."
That's how Japanese accents are usually sounded out, anyway.

Nah, it's basically like squeezing two letter 'o' together without making it sound like an 'oooooooo'.

"ôzaru" (or if you prefer, romanized as "oozaru") would be pronounced beginning with a slightly-emphasized long "O" sound (not an "ooooo!" and in "Boo!"; the "o" sound as in "boat"), the "za" being like "zah", and the "ru" now being the syllable that rhymes with "Boo!"

The "zaru" comes from saru meaning "monkey", and the "ô" meaning big/large/great.

I guess I am an idiot, I always said it "ooooo" "Zah" "Roo". Well that's what happens when you are the only person you know who is into dragonball and no one can correct you.

Either you're being sarcastic, or you don't know that you're actually using it the right way.

I think Mike just clarified that "Ohh-za-ru" was more or less the correct pronunciation? o-o;

I any case, thanks, Mike. I'd come to pronounce it like you'd explained, but this discussion about it had me wondering if I was saying it right. :oops:

Milksop. :P

A nice guy, a pushover, a target for bullies... basically Peter Parker. :P

So he isn't naive or stupid? And the man in that image isn't milksop. That's what we call a douche.

I read "The Dark Knight"'s junior novel instead of seeing the movie. It sucked and it's overrated.

Here's the thing, this junior novel has basically confirmed everything we have been lead to believe about this rendition of the character in question. It's actually quite representative of the film they're trying to sell, as I take it.

Heh heh. Awesome.

By the way; Even if all of these surnames are fake (and I really hope they are), the scans of the Junior Novel have pretty much cemented all of the things I though of this movie (none of them good).
