Big Green dub - Movie 8 and Bardock Special

People make fun of FUNimation's dub all the time here, from what I've seen. Lots of "BIG DADDEH G4LIC" and "KLIYLYNZ IN DA HOUZ" everywhere.

I think what Adamant was getting at is it's fine when the dub fans want to laugh at this pathetic tripe but when sub fans make fun of their equally bad dub (YAMCHA NEEDS TO RUB MY FEET TO GET the RAMOTE, OH POOPIE, I HAVE AN UPDATED NEURAL PROCESSOR, I DON'T EVEN HAVE SHOE LASES, NOW YOU CAN USE IT AS A BACKSCRATCHER, MORE LIKE...BURNT TOAST.) they get very defensive.

You know, I think one of the problems with this dub that really gets on my nerves is that they're all at the same decibel level and volume. Everything sounds like it's being said at the same distance, even those far off in the shots.

The point isn't that no-one slams the FUNi dub but that slamming bad elements of the FUNi dub usually bring up a lot of whining about how criticism is mean. I think the only thing good about the Bardock clip was Solid State Scouter. Everything else was horrible. But that's the price you pay for uncut video.

You know, I'd like to get an explanation as to why the Big Green dub is fair game to ridicule like this, while the FUNi dub is not, because they're pretty much on the same level quality-wise.
I never understood how it's possible to point and laugh at the crappynes of this dub, yet consider something like this perfectly watchable. They both sound like intentionally bad fan parodies.

The fanbase for this dub is obviously much smaller than Funi's, so that's why you can bash it without getting responses.

And by the way, this is an example of the bashing I was talking about in a thread about a week ago. You never see threads like this about the original. (No, I don't like this dub but that doesn't mean I'm going to jump the hater bandwagon)
