Well, the baseline ki is an interesting addition, in my opinion. It'll no longer be like:
"Oh, SHIT! Freeza's in his undefeatable final form! I'm in for it, now!"
*BONK*
*THUD*
*woop*
"Naw, nevermind."
It gives the higher transformations a little more "MMPH!" aside from the sad, little indistinguishable amount of damage that's added to their strength.
I've been thinking about it and really, the gameplay in Budoukai 3 should have been what was in Budoukai 1. I went back and played the first Budoukai, and it was just too damn crude and bare boned in terms of graphics and gameplay. I must have liked it so much because of the story mode or something...
And Zackarotto, let us not judge others. I for one am much too preocuppied with being disgruntled over dissatisfying presidential election results to be concerned with such matters. Judging is EX's job. And frankly, he does it swiftly and well.

I don't know who they all are yet, but the confirmed total of characters in Budokai 3 is now 44. I don't know if that number counts the Cell Jr's and Saibamen (probably), but that's still more than I had thought. There must be hidden characters still!
EDIT: Just saw some weird/funny stuff. In one screen shot, it showed Bardock's alternate costume, which is Tullece (Just like I was hoping!) And in one video, Goten and Yi Xing Long had a special opening for their fight...Goten asks him for candy or something, calling him by name o.O

I've got my hopes on new theoretical fusions that are just hard are fucknuts to unlock.

Just as hard as fucknuts?VegettoEX wrote:

I don't really understand this baseline ki thing. If a character's ki drops below the line, it automatically refills to that point? But isn't true that character's whose ki drops dramatically would revert back to their previous form (at least in the case of Super Saiyan)? I'm lost, and my poor inferior mind doesn't comprehend easily.

It looks like Metal Coola is brought about in the same way as Freeza's spaceship. That's the idea the third trailer, there, seems to give, anyway (about 70% of the way through it).
And I love how they pronounce "Kamehameha" correctly, but darn it, they can't get the god damn name of the GAME ITSELF correct.

*ponderings* So, if we're supposed to have 44 total characters... here's what we'll probably end up with.
RETURNING REGULAR CHARACTERS:
RETURNING REGULAR CHARACTERS:
- Goku
- Vegeta
- (Kid) Gohan
- (Teen) Gohan
- (Adult) Gohan
- Great Saiyaman
- Future Trunks
- Chibi Trunks
- Goten
- Yamcha
- Kuririn
- Tenshinhan
- Piccolo
- Raditz
- Nappa
- Freeza
- Ginyu-taicho
- Recoome
- Jinzoningen #16
- Jinzoningen #17
- Jinzoningen #18
- Dr. Gero
- Cell
- Mr. Satan
- Videl
- Kaioshin
- Dabura
- (Fat) Buu
- (Super) Buu
- (Chibi) Buu
- Saibaiman
- Cell Jr.
- Chibi Goku
- Bardock
- Coola
- Broli
- Uub
- Yi Xing Long ("Iishinron")
- Gotenks
- Vegetto
- Kibitoshin/Kaiobit
- Gotan ("Gokule")
- Yamhan ("Tiencha")
- Gogeta
- Zarbon
- Dodoria
- Jinzoningen #19
- Metal Coola seems to work just like Freeza's spaceship, in that it replaces the Senzu bean; when you "die" the spaceship comes down and transforms you into Mecha Freeza / Metal Coola
- SSJ4 Gogeta is a fusion of SSJ4 Goku & SSJ4 Vegeta; will probably need to be in SSJ4 with the appropriate fusion/breakthrough attached (which means SSJ Gogeta is probably a fusion while in SSJ; no idea if you can power-up to SSJ4 Gogeta from regular SSJ Gogeta)
- Whether or not you can transform into Super Yi Xing Long from regular Yi Xing Long ("Syn" to "Omega" if you will), we dunno

Whoa o_O. Yeah, what's up with that? Hmm, maybe Tullece is an alternate outfit for Bardock. Both wear scouters. That'd be pretty damn neat.

Even though "What if Fusions" aren't listed, it don't mean there not going to be there. They didn't list them in DBZB1 or 2 it was more of a surprise thing. The way people found out about who can fuse with who is because game sites would post them, They were never in the booklet's ....eh..I could be totally wrong, but that's my understanding.
In other news, this is my 100th post, yay!

Does anyone speak french?
Got this scan from Dranet. Anyone got a clue as to what it says about Bojack? Could he be in the game?
Video clip of Goku v Fat Buu. Goku does a Warp Kamehameha in this one.

"Do you remember Bojack, Broli and Metal Coola? Well, they've the honors to be in the new game"
Or something like that, it's been a couple of years ago I read French..
