When the trailers hit the television screens.
Already have.

And that's not always the case.

Me neither, I've still not seen any ads in theaters or tv.

A lot of times trailers will not show a rating. Instead you will hear, "Film not yet rated" at the end of the clip. I would guess that the film will mostly likely be rated PG though, as there doesn't seem to be anything to warrant a higher rating.

The first Narnia was PG, so was TMNT.

I'm just a little disappointed.... thought it was finally my chance to contribute something useful. :P
I really hope it's not PG in the US. PG with popular series usually means that there will be many parts that aim more towards younger children...
Just like the manga and anime. As much as we debate and (over) analyze Dragonball as if it was Shakespeare or Dickens at the end of the day it was made for the consumption of children. We must not forget that fact. :)
The Saiyans are very much like the Klingons and Jem'Hadar.

OH NOES THE RED-SPHERE YELLOW-STAR DRAGON BALLS RETURN!

Also, what is that blue thing? It looks like that reptilian thing which was called the Oozaru.

"Collect all 7 figures to creat Oozaru!"

 Typical marketing to try to get your money for all 7 figures right there.

Not impressed by the figure itself (then again, I'm not usually so anyway), but yes... the hair.

I have to say, that looks more like Goku hair than what I've seen in all the other pictures of Chatwin-Goku thus far. And to be honest, I'm quite liking it. :3

(Though, I'm going to be more than a little miffed if it turns out that picture was Photoshopped for the packaging. :| )
Art, etc. links taken down for now. Will be updated at some point. I dunno.

I approve of the hair whole-heartedly.

Where was that hair on all the other advertisement photos so far!? Its absence was one of my major aesthetic issues with the movie.

Also going to be upset if it turns out it was photoshopped just for the toy boxes.
On hiatus.

About the trailer thing, apparently my dad saw the trailer a few days ago. when he was at the cinema at work (no, he doesn't work there, he has a much more enviable job than that) seeing Valkyrie. He mentioned Bulma's Capsule-like thing and, GET THIS...

"Cool..."

Yes, he found that worthy of remembering.

He said it looked quite good and that he actually might be interested in seeing it.

Remember we're in the U of K, here, so seeing the trailer in a cinema is certainly something. :P

Did anybody else notice that Terence Stamp is in Valkyrie? Which is directed by Bryan Singer? Who directed Superman Returns? Which is sort of a sequel to Superman II? Which also starred Terence Stamp? I know you didn't. That's why I'm so awesome. 8)

The same thing happened with my parents over the weekend. They came back from the movies and told me they saw the trailer for it. My mom said it reminded her of Mortal Kombat and my dad said it looked "Weak as hell". :(
I completely respect your opinion, and I respect you. I enjoyed discussing this with you, even if I don't completely agree.

I posted a link to 15 minutes of footage of their promotion in Korea.

It sucks how Chatwin once again lies about having been a fan of the manga, and how he refuses to do a Kamehameha pose even though Chow Yun-Fat is more than willing to (go you!)..

How do you know he lied about being a fan of the manga? Do you have proof that he never read it? Hmm?

He mentioned it various times in other interviews. He himself is not a fan of the manga but his friends are.
Guess I'll have to go through all the interviews to proof it -_-"

Well, whatever, It's not like I really care. I mean a lot of actors who have played superheros didn't read the comics. And just because you are a huge fan doesn't mean you would be the best for the role.

For instance, Ben Affleck was a huge fan of Daredevil, and although I liked that movie. I still feel like they could have gotten someone slightly better for the role.

Although I do agree he came off as a bit of jerk when he refused to do the Kame Hame Ha. I mean, who wouldn't want to do that. I mean, if I personally played Goku, I would be all over doing that kind of promotion.

Did I say that I wanted a fan to play Goku? I'm just saying that he's lying about being of a fan of the series. He could just be honest about it...

Well, maybe his friends liked it, but he never read it, but then when he got the role, he read the manga (which I believe is what happened) and he really enjoyed it, hence making him a fan of the original Manga. I think I read that somewhere.
