I think it's a confirmed PG.DBHighDefinition wrote:Horse shit... I was sure it would get PG-13.
Anyhow, looks like Piccolo was colored digitally, according to the JUMP scans.

Also, I am assuming there is no swearing, and because the action is so stylized (yah know, cartoony) it got the PG. There will probably be little to no blood. I think most of the Star Wars and Indiana Jones movies were PG also, I just don't feel like looking it up, and both of those film series's have plenty of great action.
But yeah, the potential Z sequel will have to be PG-13 I think.
It's worth noting that the PG-13 rating wasn't invented until July 1984. Red Dawn (August 10, 1984) was the first movie rated PG-13.Chuquita wrote:I like looking stuff up, so:
Lost Ark - PG
Temple of Doom - PG
Last Crusade - PG-13
Crystal Skull - PG-13
Star Wars - PG
SW V - PG
SW VI - PG
SW I - PG
SW II - PG
SW III - PG-13

On the whole right now? I think this thing'll have good points and fun little notes on and off that relate back to the original. The rest will be embaressing to terrible. But it still is looking better than it started off looking.
On Dragonballmovieblog I believe Chatwin said something about the second sript going much deeper into the backstories of the universe they've got there- now that sounds pretty interesting. Obviusly there'll be the Sayiajin/Freezer stuff, but I'm mostly curious if it'll touch on a version of the Namekseijin as well, and what they'd do with them. Tere's indications they wouldn't (though when Dragonball itself came out there were false earth origins for Daimaou and the balls and such), but it's still interesting to think about.

I was told minor details about the script. It's not worth posting though until this movie makes money.
Also, to anyone who lives in U.K.:
not sure if this is newsworthy, or if it's already been reported, but I've been seeing TV advertisements on the UK channel of Nickelodeon. Just thought I'd let you guys know!

Seeing as how it probably wouldn't dwell much on Earth-related stuff, I wouldn't be surprised.JAPPO wrote:If you didn't want a realistic take on the franchise the sequel does away with the more grounded-in-reality stuff.
Yes, I was ADDING to the point. I was saying "Rocketman's right. Standards in the 1970s and early 80s were VERY different". Otherwise, the year would be somewhat stupid to mention. That was in 1976, one year before the original Star Wars.Rocketman wrote:

I think it'd be better to cut out the Ginyu Tokusentai than Nappa. Just heavily decrease Nappa's role.JAPPO wrote:This is just my opinion not fact.
I would prefer it if they merged the Saiyan saga with the Freeza saga. Got rid of Nappa and Radditz and told both stories simultaneously by starting the movie off with an origin story like "Bardock The Father of Goku." After we see Bardock getting killed by Freeza, it sets up the rest of the movie. It would be emotional enough to get the audience interested.
Really? They both tend to serve the same overall purpose: keeping the other characters busy while Goku is off, then staying around just long enough for Goku to show off his new strength. I think Nappa serves another great purpose so far as when Vegeta kills him he shows exactly how ruthless he is, thus making his later transformation even more amazing.Super Ghost Kamikaze wrote: I think it'd be better to cut out the Ginyu Tokusentai than Nappa. Not to mention, should the movie follow the storyline from the manga, part of Vegeta's plot has been stolen as well as the Saiyajin/Freeza plot in general, what with the Saiyajin apparently working for Piccolo. If they went with the Saiyajin working for Freeza in a sequel, it'd seem like a poor rehash probably.B wrote:Freeza would need a lot fo reformatting, since two primary characters of that saga aren't there(yet. If this movie series is successful, I can see the inclusion of Gohan down the line), and a new reason for Piccolo to switch sides, if they include him at all.
