Are you kidding? As a whole, Daizex has to have one of the worst overall attitudes towards the film I've ever seen. Defenders of it around here are the minority, if anything.

I think there are only about half a dozen who regularly show support for the movie.

So probably the extreme minority.

I mean, I'm not in love with what they are doing, but to be honest, I'm pretty happy with everything I've seen so far, hold for dissapointment with Goku's character. Every trailer and such I see, it just seems to look better.

So, I guess at this point in time, I'm a supporter aswell, and I really want this movie to do well.

I don't see why that would be necessary. We're not being downright obnoxious with eachother, just discussing how we feel about attitudes and such. I don't it's not getting out of hand at all.

I am generally an opposer of the movie. However the more trailers and the like I see the higher my expectations get, as they are definetly improvising.. Yet some of the changes are pretty stoopid an unnecessary.

Also generally opposed because I feel like Hollywood thought that Goku wasn't "angsty" and "broody" enough for them so they dropped him and made up some stereotypical unpopular-lovesick-teen archetype in his place; and that makes me nauseated and upset because I can't do a damn thing about it other than not pay them money.

But that's just me. Everything non-Goku related I've taken in stride and been either apathetic or semi-interested in. (Good on Marsters in general and Yamcha's flying DeLorean--er, truck--is full of awesomeness).

So yeah; my main issue is Ben Ramsey who I kind of feel like slapping for replacing Goku with Hairgel Mc"Waaah-I-wanna-be-normal"son.

Other changes I can take or leave with a shrug, but when you screw with my favorite character's personality/looks/origin, I generally feel like throwing a cold shoulder.

Yeah, a goofy, borderline retarded superhero would have been brilliant.

That was their biggest mistake, and I can't believe that they didn't see how important that was.

But hey, maybe if there is a sequel, Chatwin Goku will no longer care about being normal, and be a lot more light hearted a character.

What I feel when I look at the movie, is that may have an awful first half, but a completely awesome second half.

And yes, I know Goku isn't exactly a superhero.

I'm actually pretty conflicted about Goku's character, and it's something I'm definitely reserving final judgment on until I actually see the film. Seems like every single bit of info ends up conflicting with something else on the matter, and it's all becoming a bit too muddled to really make a call.

I'm really starting to get that same vibe, too.

As best I can understand so far though, Goku seems frustrated towards the beginning of the film due to being 'held back' more than anything else, but as he's let loose and does something worthwhile and 'fun' throughout the course of the plot, he ends up a lot more free-spirited and akin to the Goku we know. I suppose if anything, the "Evolution" subtitle will apply heavily to Goku's character.

Aside from that, other big aspects of his character such as his goofy naivety, appetite, and drive to fight and get stronger seem pretty much intact.

That leaves the romantic feelings for Chi Chi, but I personally chalk that up to him just being older. Puberty's going to hit eventually, whether you realize what it is or not.

Plus, still having Grandpa Gohan around into his teen years would probably mean he's gotten a bit more of an in-depth scoop about girls and such, along with getting sent to school.

Goku is NOT "retarded". Naive, and occasionally thick-headed when it comes to certain aspects of society; but he's not mentally inept.

Haha, yeah, I know that. There's no real way to describe what he is.

He's Goku. Plain and simple.

And yeah, I've debated Goku's intelligence before. A friend saying that Superman could beat Goku by playing his stupidity and tricking him into transporting into the sun.

And I did say "borderline" retarded.

But yeah, by the end he's not even that thick headed. Just a bit silly sometimes.

And maybe Grandpa Gohan is the problem with Chatwin Goku.... I mean, if he is still using his fluffy testicle pillow at 17, then that's bound to introduce some issues.

Unless there's something living on or in the sun with Ki for Goku to track, he couldn't do that anyway.

Well that's debatable. It's possible that he just lost his memory and was just infused with the goodness of Grandpa Gohan, and with his childhood he formed inocence.

And by the end, he's a bit too smart to be really brain damaged.

All of this is why I need to see the movie as soon as it coms out. Until I know exactly what they're doing with these boys we love so much, it's gonna bother me.

Oh, and Super Ghost Kamikaze? Does that mean the third film's going to completely kick ass despite low production values?

Goku in the movie is most likely going to be the kind of guy in the movie thats like nope I don't believe I am the chosen one, ignorant.
