Woah! The Piccolo shots continue to really impress me. It's obviously a slightly different take visually, but it's really just taken in this really awesome direction. Wow. I really, really like that shot.

The tournament ring is kinda dinky, though. Anyone know what those characters on the ring floor mean?

Those shots are pretty BA. I am assuming he was tinted green using digital effects in post production, or these were early test shots.

The Piccolo shots are looking really awesome. Different, yes, but awesome nonetheless. I like the direction they are taking Piccolo in and Marsters seems to be up to the job.

I said some months ago in a previous movie thread that had been locked that if the movie turned out like shit I'd still go to see it just for Marsters. He continues to impress me and I haven't even seen him act in the film yet!

As of right now Piccolo is the only reason I could possibly see this movie.

Of course that just means I'll be disappointed when Piccolo doesn't kill Justin Chatwin.

Unless they do some adaptation of the Raditz episodes, obviously, which would be awesome.

Supposedly Goku dies at the beginning of the hypothetical sequel, though we don't know what the cause is. Maybe it'll be Raditz, maybe it wont. I'm interested to see how they'd handle his hair.

The last picture definitely does resemble quite a bit of the demonic side of Daimao. Missing antennae and yellowish skin, aside.

Still not digging the fact that he has what looks like black lipstick. o_O; The other pics (except for the one with the fangs) are also not that great.

I have to say, Piccolo looks much more like Piccolo than any other movieverse characters look like their counterparts.

I hope the DP shot the film so Piccolo would look huge, like he is in the series. That'd be a nice nod, but I doubt we'll get that.
