Vegetto vs Gohan-Buu takes the cake, but Goku vs Kid Buu, Goku vs Majin Vegeta, and Goku vs Piccolo at the 23rd Budokai also get high marks.

Hands down, the final battle of the 23rd Tenkaichi Budokai, where the young runner-up and the son of the Deamon King clash. It was at just the right point where physical fighting was hitting its peak before the chi battles completely took over. There's so many turns and peaks in the battle, so much badass it fills me with joy.

Please don't just post a list of stuff. There's really not a lot of genuine conversation that can come of that. Be sure to add in a few comments here and there about why it is that you like those fights so much.

There were only 3 that I thought fights that I think really stand out from the rest as being worthy of being favored:

3.Goku vs. Vegeta (the first time)

This fight, like the 23rd Budokai, combined DB and DBZ style fighting, but unlike the Piccolo vs. Goku battle,this was more heavy on the the Z-style fighting.

2.Goku vs. Freeza (Manga only)

This fight involves my favorite villain, so Brownie points to start with. Plus we see the first instance of Super Saiyan, which was pretty dramatic the first time through. Of course I had to specify in the manag only, because of all of the, well, you know...

3.Goku vs. Tenshinhan (22nd Budokai)

I don't know why, but for some reason I just have a strong sense of joy attached to watching this the first time.

Majin Vegeta VS Buu was just a treat for me because Vegeta's character had come full circle. After years of his incessant whining, his desire to be the strongest in the unvierse, his drive to be better than Goku, he had finally wisened up and realized what truly mattered was protecting Bulma, Trunks, an everyone else on Earth. Sure, he gets a minor setback once he sees Super Saiyajin 3, but while watching Goku fight Buu, it gets through to him: He's not stronger than Goku, he never will be, and that's OKAY. He's got two people who love him unconditionally, and that means more than a high power level could ever show for.

So many choices!

I gotta say, Son's fight with Meta Coola--before Vegeta arrived--was just awesome. You can just feel the history those two have (which isn't much, by all accounts) as they trade blows and the level of power they display (before Son goes SSj) is pretty awesome.

That's odd because this is one of my favorite battles too for similar reasons. I could see Goku and Coola being rivals throughout an entire series. I just feel a weird connection between those two by the way they talked/reacted toward each other in Movie 6.

Anyway, my favorite battle among all is...

Well I can't say I have a number one, but off the top of my head...

Goku vs. Janemba & Goku + Vegeta vs. Janemba

The whole slipping through dimensions technique Janemba does makes me smile.

I actually really enjoyed the Goku vs. Perfect Cell fight; except for the silliness involving the maiming and regenerating, it was a real physical fight. I also wanna give it some credit for being one of the few fights in which Goku is able to outdo Cell on technique; if memory serves he would've won by ring-out if Cell didn't change the rules.

I managed to have fun with the first big Broly fight too; the fact that he clotheslined people into so many different and interesting objects gets credit just for lol factor; he even punts Piccolo.

-Goku vs Vegeta - Saiyan Arc - It was an epic fight between the prince of Saiyans and a "second rate" Saiyan. It was a very harsh fight in terms of brutality.
-Goku vs Final Forum Frieza - This is the fight where Goku goes SSJ for the first time, so it's pretty much a given as to why it's on my list.
-Trunks vs Goten - Martial Arts Tournament - I liked this little fight, so that's why it's on here.
-Vegeta vs Boo - The end of the fight was very dramatic, and I love how the fight builds up towards the end where Vegeta sacrifices himself for the earth.
-Vegetto vs Buu - I like how Buu was getting his tail whooped for a little while.

-"Mystic Gohan" vs "Super Buu" - I just like the fact that Gohan gets to shine here....again, for just a little while.
