Mid-air fights, something Toriyama created?

Discussion, generally of an in-universe nature, regarding any aspect of the franchise (including movies, spin-offs, etc.) such as: techniques, character relationships, internal back-history, its universe, and more.

I guess in Darth Vader's case, James Earl Jones didnt have the right body measurements, but he had the right voice.

I think Toriyama had experimented with the art of flight with Tenshinhan, possibly the feedback was so good """Akira Akira its so cool when Ten flies!""" he brang it back because he was so tired of making Goku kamehameha himself into the air that he let him fly!
Actually, in an interview I read, Toriyama stated he made the whole concept of flight up so that he could move the story along faster and not have to worry about how his characters would move from place to place. (He also said he would think of ways to quickly destroy the tournament ring so that he wouldn't have to draw it anymore :p)
Signatures are stupid and I wish there was a way to turn them off
edit- neato

Yeh i figured it would be something like that, think about it. Krillin was training aswell while Goku was with Kami, and Krillin suddenly revealed that he could fly when he fought Piccolo jr. Also I have tried drawring that ring, it's bloody hard, i'm not surprised if thats the reason he came up with mid-air fights.
Its all fun and games untill somebody loses an eye

Explain Darth Vader! Dave Prowes, the actor and James Earl Jones the voice!
Same with Blofeldt in some of the Bond movies. Some guy was just sitting there, some other guy was talking. And these guys were swithced all the time, for some reason.

Nevermind the actor PLAYING him changed about three or four times. In "On Her Majesty's Secret Service" it was Tell Savalas, in "Daimonds are Forever" it was Charles Gray, and there was Charles Pleasence, Anthony Dawson, and so on, so forth.

But then, there have been six James Bonds, essentially becoming more youthful with each incarnation. So it really doesn't matter.
"In fact, the United States Alf Fanfiction Department has issued notices offering high paying jobs for more Alf fanfiction, which they believe could immediately resolve countless global issues such as world hunger."

And if you remember Megaman's hyper attack in Marvel vs Capcom, he turns into Mazinger Z basically.
I haven't actually seen, read or played any Astro Boy manga/anime/games so I don't know who you're refering to.
