There is absolutely no need to be quoting five levels deep. Also, can we please get some proof-reading in here? The amount of text before we see a period is a little ridiculous.

Dragonball Episode 54:
Nigero ya Nigero!! Daidasshutsu
Run Away, Run Away!! The Great Escape
I forgot how fun the General Blue arc was. I'll openly admit that most of the 21st Tenkaichi Budokai - the Muscle Tower episodes feels as though it's a chore to watch. However, it's a blast to sift through in manga-format.

... Damn, I can't remember the last episode I watched o_O It must have been back when I started running through my Ocean dvds for the hell of it. I got to... somewhere in the middle of training for the Sayiajin, possibly right before Gohan builds his ship to sail away from Pic. This tells me I need to watch Dragonball some more < <
I am planning, once I get my last few singles, to marathon through all of DB and DBZ in the formats I have them. The only thing I'll be missing completely then'll be the Red Ribbon saga, because I can't justify spending a hundred dollars on one dvd. So that's part of why it's been so long.

Update! I’ve just run all the way back through the Garlic Jr. minisaga, and the last ep is now officially where Krillian chases fish and tries to steal their treasures for a bimbo. I can't remember the number, but I think it was around 104 or something.
I know most people don't care for it, but I find it highly entertaining. It was my three favorite characters at the time, they get to do everything on their own and there's some entertaining humans-eating-things moments scattered around. It doesn’t really hurt either that Pic looks ridiculously gorgeous the whole time.

Update: I'm watching "Doragon Bōru Zetto Tatta Hitori no Saishū Kessen~Furīza ni Idonda Zetto Senshi Son Gokū no Chichi~."
Great music in this special, my song is favorite is definitely Solid State Scouter.
Gohan: "You're a Buddhist." Kuririn: "A hungry Buddhist!"

I'm a little behind you lol The last episode I saw was Episode 51, "The Tournament Begins", or the Japanese title, "The Security Guard at the Bottom of the Ocean".Snail wrote:Dragonball Episode 56

So Toei has not only portrayed General Blue as a full-fledgedhomosexual, but a pedophile as well? Odd. Anywho, I absolutely adore how wacky and unpredictable Penguin Village is.
I'm watching every episode from Dragon Ball-Dragon Ball Z-Dragon Ball GT in Japanese with subtitles to compare. I write down the Japanese names, attacks, etc. Is that crazy? lol

"I'm going to Destroy Majin Buu myself" ...dubbed (le gasp!)
I just bought season 8 and I've been running through it. The dub was surprisingly good for this episode. I actually felt a lot of emotion in Sabat's voice. Yes I'll admit it I literally shed a single tear.

Aro started to laugh. “Ha, ha, ha,” he chuckled.- Actual quote from Twilight

Awesome! Although you'll probably pass me quite quickly. I tend to watch two episodes a day or so only. I'm also planning to watch the entire series spanning from Ball to GT alongside the movies based on the respective release dates. (shameless plug) Fun fun.TheGreatness25 wrote:

Crazy? I wouldn't say so. Atleast you're doing something productive with your viewing.TheGreatness25 wrote:

Hah, that was the last one I saw, too. For the last half year, me and my roomie have been marathoning through Dragonball, starting with the beginning and going through everything. And yep, we're now using my nw, shiny, sexy Dragonbox.jda95 wrote:Another update: Last saw episode 90, when Freeza powers to 50% full power and, ahem, Bulma-Ginyu prepares to switch bodies.
First time I'm watching a lot of these episodes, too. I've seen roughly half the Freeza battle before, but that was some episodes here and there, and I never saw the late Saiyan arc or the early Freeza arc before the Dragonbox.
Yeah, the filler is a bit meh. Has a tendency to drown out the canon stuff too. The Goku-Freeza battle so far has been mostly a lot of nothing happening, and when things move so slowly, even "stuff that didn't really make that much of a difference" canon material doesn't do much. Episode 89, where Freeza fights without his hands, suddenly becomes a lot less fun to watch when there's so many boring fighting scenes in-between the scenes that actually took place during this part of the fight.
The Freeza battle up to Gokus arrival was well-done, though, except for his first transformation. The entire point is just lost when Freeza, instead of starting to grow after blasting his armor off, stands around for 15 minutes and talks about King Vegeta. Yuck (hell, the flashback itself was entertaining enough, it was just so horrendously misplaced).

I doubt I'd get past you. I watch very little. I need to really sit myself down and the most I can manage is like 2 hours of viewing, which is about 6 episodes. And I don't do it on a daily basis. I've been doing this since like the summer lol The entire Red Ribbon arc is just so long and tedious. I'm sorry for all the Dragon Ball fans, but it's true. Plus doesn't help that I have to watch it from my computer (Region 4 discs). I expect my Dragon Ball Z/GT/movies viewing to go much quicker. I just hate viewing it through the computer.
