I doubt you would do that, when you know a bit more about them.xzero wrote:I don't buy/read the manga (*dodges stones*), but if I did and I had a choice, I'd probably be more inclined to go for the animanga rather than the black and white original. If the only difference is that the animanga is in color and the pages are (I assume) glossy, but basically the same shots are used across the board, that would be my preference.desirecampbell wrote:The animanga itself looks fine, I guess. It's just, why? Why create this? Who desires this item?
All the same, your point is well-received. Many DB fans already have the original manga or the DVDs, so there really isn't much of a point. Well, there is a point. It's called $$$, and we know that someone has to buy them.
I have tryed scanning the 18'th book of the orginal manga and the second of the animangas... (But both the danish versions)
Here are the danish cover vs the danish cover

Here's a comparetion of "the same pages"

+'s
They're printed with colour
They're graphily very nice (But so was the orginal mange
They smell nice...
Not filler free.
-'S
They're more exspensive
Not the orginal
Not filler free.
The story progress slower (The Saiyin arc which is from third chapter in the orginal book 17 to the last of book 20, So less the four books. But in the animanga this arc uses 5 books...)
Movement and stuff can be hard to follow, and general it's more easy to read the orginal I think...
Personal if you can get the orgnial manga do that...
Would anybody like ever to hear more about the danish translations (And german and sweedish)
