Kinda sorta tying in with this thread here, made by Big Momma:

"How did you get your username?" (Post here too people!)

I decided to start a companion thread, dealing with something else that relates to that. Our Avatars! And just like you think, this thread is to explain how we all decided on our avatars! I guess I'll go first.

My current avatar

is basically Venom's Spider logo, from Spider-man. It seemed fitting, with me being VenomSymbiote and all.

How did you guys get yours? (And yes, post multiple times if you change your avatar...)

Mine changes regularly, but my one at the moment is of one of my favorite pictures of Goten, my favorite character.

I made a DBZ South Park parody, and since this is a Dragon Ball forum and South Park is my favorite American Cartoon, and since Freeza's one of my favorite Dragon Ball characters. I figured why not Freeza in SP style.

My avatar? Goku is just a beast, that's all. He's my favorite character(Well, the kid version) and I couldn't find any good ones of young Goku powering up.

I got a Kuribo sprite, added the Tanooki ears (from a sprite of Tanooki Mario looking foward) and bam it's a Tanooki Kuribo!

I made a few and tried to decide which was funniest. So far SSJ3 constipated Goku wins out. If only the avatar could show that his hair reaches down like 20 feet below him.

Normally, my avatar is this:

...which is a rotator script based on the 200+ images (that I cropped, resized, and edited--for colors or otherwise--myself

) in this directory. Since I don't have a version of this at a lower resolution (150x150 is usually the limit on most forums I go to), I just picked one of the many images (in this case, gokuav57.png, which iirc is from the first Daizenshuu) to use as my otherwise "primary" avatar. I use this for all of my instant messenger clients and any forums that script can be used for.

As for why... well, it's awesome, that's why. =P

And yes, that is probably the 9th time I've flaunted that rotator. No, I don't find any shame in my endless string of shameless plugs. Yes, I'm a bad person. No, I don't care. >_>

I basically just wanted to make one that fit my name and made sense, so I re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-watched First Blood and took about 150 screenshots. I narrowed it down to the four that I thought could make the best Super Saiya-jin Rambo avatar. Next I searched for some pictures with nicely done Super Saiya-jin hair (the one I used came from a video game promotional image of Goku). I've been wanting to finish making avatars of the other 3 final screenshots, but haven't gotten around to it yet. When I do I'll pick a final one that I'll forever, from then one out.
