Strange Dragon Ball Products

Post by Chuquita » Sat Mar 07, 2009 5:14 pm

I'm curious to know what some of the stranger merchandise for the series exists. I passed a perfume and cologne kiosk at Quakerbridge Mall and saw a box of DB perfume.

I wondered what it smelled like, but decided against asking.

The strangest product I've seen online would be that Master Roshi related tissue holder (or whatever it was) I can't remember exactly what it did.

DBZ energy drink is kind of cool...? :P
But anyway, wow perfume? Is that meant for the DBZ-loving girls? Maybe I should buy it.. :P

The post had all these awesome pictures people drew of Veg threatening/posing like the guy, so it'd be awesome if we could find it. Do the boards have a search option?

Thanks for finding the can though.

I think the thread you're looking for is this one:

Wanna eat some Vegeta snacks?

I remember it because I got carried away posting silly pictures on the second page  Though I know there were ones prior to that one (MANY years ago), so maybe someone will come across another one. It might be difficult to do a forum search for it because, you know, searching for "Vegeta" might bring up a whole bunch of unrelated results :P

I guess I have to take a one hour trip to Lawrenceville to check out this perfume tomorrow.
Gohan: At least he doesn't have his sword out anymore.
Kuririn: Yeah, and your dad put his finger away too.

It's the perfume kiosk right next to B.Dalton. The box is on its side in the corner closest to FYE. It was sitting ontop of a box of pokemon perfume. :3

I have a few of these pog-like plastic discs that came packaged in these awesome little Korean cookie balls called Homerun Balls. They were apparently for some game. While not really strange, they are definitely not as common as most things I've seen.

The other day I found a whole pencilcase full of DBZ (and a few Beyblade) tazos (pogs) which I got from chip packets. I ate a looot of chips back then!

I have...God, embarrassed for saying this, a DBZ phonebook. It's like this tiny little thing with two magnetic pictures of Goku and when you pull the magnetic pieces apart, like a few pages of a blank phone book unfold (they're attached to the magnetic pieces), so you write in phone numbers and stuff. Geez. lol

I only saw the top of the box (red, with the logo on it), but that's probably it. :3

But Disney? Really? Wow. I didn't know they had the legal rights to make any dbz-related products.

Because they're Disney and they own the world.

That is exactly what I was looking for, bless you ^^

Hmn.... when I spend gratuitous amounts on doujins sometimes I get sent little presents along with the books. Not that long ago one of the things that was slipped in with the package was this series of small (one by two inch) heavy cardboard cards with Freezer-era images on the front and what seemed to be.... baseball notes on the back. I only know they were baseball because there's bats and baseball diamonds on some of them. They seem to be part of some kind of game. I'll try to scan a few tomorrow just to figure out hat they are.

Huh, so that's what those things I have are. I have the Goku and Vegeta. I thought they were toys from Hungry Jacks or something.

I remember Z-Store used to have DBZ Shot Glasses

That's pretty odd in my mind. I mean DBZ is marketed to those who aren't legal drinking age. Even as a collectors item it's still an odd choice.
