HERE LET ME YOUTUBE IT FOR YOU.
It's a really interesing dub, uses proper terms for some things, and the opening is terrible.

An overall excellent Dragonball dub as far as I remember (bar the editing). It's over 5 years since I saw it. However, FUNi's dub is also good. I prefered Blue Water's Goku - captured the innocence much better than Nadolny, however their Krillin has nothing on Laurie Steele - it was too deep and macho in my opinion.
Blue Water's DBGT trounces FUNi's feeble effort though.

In a nutshell: Likes the sub and the dub and barely ever posts.

I rather enjoyed watching some of those youtube clips. I've never heard this dub before, but I like it. It's definitely different. It's nice hearing "Nyoi-Bo" said in a dub, too bad there's no "Kinto un" though. I would probably be a dub collector myself if I had the money to do so.
Anyway, I did some searches for you to try to track down some of these tapes, but I couldn't find anything. I read on Youtube that the Blue Ocean dub was never released on DVD, so you're probably going to have a really hard time finding a physical copy of it, unless somebody has a recorded VHS from TV or something.. Good luck with the search.

No...just, no. The Blue Water Dub had some of the worst acting & voices I had heard in a long, long time. Especially Goku. To say the Blue Water actor for him is better than Nadolny is like a knife in the heart to me.Chrome wrote:An overall excellent Dragonball dub as far as I remember (bar the editing). Unfortunately, this seems to be much rare than the DBZ episodes. I'd love to see more of the original DB dub.
For all the flack that FUNimation gets on this forum for their quote about DBZ, there's some modicum of truth to it: a 9-year-old is born every day. Or in some cases, "reborn". DBZ may be a kids' show, but it's been so close to so many hearts all over Japan, America, and quite possibly, even the world.
I live in Canada so... I think this dub always aired on TV. At least for GT.
I remember the dub changing every 10 episodes. It was weird, I wondered what was happening.
I also remember I grew used to what I think is the Ocean dub and I went to the store to buy VHS's of the show, bought them and when I came home they were FUNimation VHS's! I remember hating the FUNimation Majin Buu voice.
Not sure if this post was interesting, but oh well.

If challenge had a taste, you'd be quite delicious.

The only dub the fluctuated on YTV was Z's.JAPPO wrote: I remember the dub changing every 10 episodes. It was weird, I wondered what was happening.
YTV only aired the Blue Water dub of DragonBall in the 2000's (they aired the 1995 dub IIRC back in the day). And the only GT dub that ever appeared on the channel was the Blue Water on.
"I like the money it brings in, but Dragon Ball Heroes is the worst. That's actually the real reason I decided to start working on new material. I was afraid Bandai would make something irredeemably stupid like Super Saiyan 4 Broly." - Akira Toriyama, made up interview, 2013.
