Didn't Satan score a 137 on the punching machine?

If that thing is vindicative of power, which it probably isn't, since the Z Fighters scored only in the 700s, IIRC.

That can't be used, because everyone but Vegeta was MAJORLY holding back to avoid breaking the machine. Like Vegeta did.

Here's one scene that is more detailed than the movie... or at least the pirated asian one. I have to transcribe these by hand so I'll only do scenes by request...

----

ROSHI
We have no marshmallows, but I do have a story.

RIM OF THE TRAP

Yamcha sits near his infra-red heater. A storm is brewing. The wind is starting to whip. Unseen by the three below, he is listening to them.

ROSHI, GOKU, & BULMA

Bulma smiles, ready to be scared. Goku chews his food, listening.

ROSHI
Two thousand years ago, around 200 B.C., the Earth was nearly destroyed. It started with an eclipse by the blood moon. Fire rained from the sky, water covered the land and storms raged everywhere. The only recorded history of this event came from China - the Qin Dynasty. They wrote of an invasion, not by men, but by gods from the sky.
(beat)
They were called Nameks.

Roshi pushes his hand toward the fire.

FIRE

In the flames, images appear. Surreal, free form - like an hallucination. The images dance, never settling enough to form anything more than an impression.

ROSHI
The Nameks are an alien race who discovered the Earth during a most unfortunate alignment of our planets. Led by Lord Piccolo and his right hand, Oozaru the Destroyer, their goal was to conquer the Earth through annihilation.

Goku stares into the fire. He sees glimpses of what he has experienced when he touched a Dragon Ball. The red eyes, razor sharp fangs of the demon.

ROSHI
Seven mystics banded together to fight the invaders. It was only through the courage of the ancient masters that Earth survived. They sacrificed their lives to cast the Ma Fu Ba, a poweful curse that imprisoned Lord Piccolo into an encircling urn. Before their deaths, they created the Dragon Balls. So that their power, in the form of Shen Long the Dragon God, may be used against a future enemy.

FIRE

The faces and hands of the masters as they cast the curse. Energy releasing from their palms. A young Lord Piccolo is caught in a vortex and is sucked down into a prayer urn.
If challenge had a taste, you'd be quite delicious.

I'm in the generation of fans that started with Toonami, so I totally empathize with the feeling of having "missed the party", experiencing disappointment, and wanting to experience it myself. But I can't, that's how life is. Time is a bitch. The party is over. Kageyama, Kikuchi, and Maeda are off the sauce now; Yanami almost OD'd; Yamamoto got arrested; Toriyama's not going to light trash cans on fire and hang from the chandelier anymore. We can't get the band back together, and even if we could, everyone's either old, in poor health, or calmed way the fuck down. Best we're going to get, and are getting, is a party that's almost entirely devoid of the magic that made the original one so awesome that we even want more.

Why do you keep referring to it as the "pirated Asian movie?" It's the finished movie in English, without the Japanese dubbed voices.

Regardless if it was recorded and leaked on to the internet, it's still the official movie that'll be in the US.

OK here is the Fu Lum scene. My fingers need a rest...

EXT. SKY - NIGHT

The dirigible cruises above the clouds.

INT. DIRIGIBLE - GENESIS CHAMBER - NIGHT

Mai is at the control panel of a dark and elaborate laboratory. Liquids of varying colors are injected into a glass enclosed chamber, forming a plasma that thickens with the application of extreme heat.

Lord Piccolo enters the chamber. He stands behind Mai as she holds a glass vial of green liquid.

MAI
Your blood will give it life.

She secures the vial into a chamber and watches as the green liquid is emptied into the machine. The room fills with blinding light and steam as the glass chamber becomes opaque.

MAI (CONT'D)
The Fu Lum is ready to serve you, my Lord.

LORD PICCOLO
The Dragon Balls are within my grasp, and with them, the fate of the future of man.

A LOUD HISS signifies the venting of the chamber. From within the glass, a fully formed FU LUM ASSASSIN. Lord Piccolo moves forward to inspect his new creation. It is a fearsome creature. Piccolo moves behind the Fu Lum.

WIDER

Without ceremony, Piccolo pulls a sword from his scabbard and strikes down, splitting the demon in half. Mai GASP in shock. The creature falls to the ground, then immediately regenerates its lost half. Now becoming two whole demons.

PICCOLO

His eyes gleam. He swings the sword again.

Four ASSASSINS rise.

EXT. SKY - NIGHT

Lord Piccolo's LAUGHTER echoes in the night sky as the massive dirigible continues on.

Err, can you stop calling it the 'pirated Asian movie'? It's the theatrical version. If there's a Director's Cut later, then great, but this is the version of the movie Fox has decided to release in theatres.

Not to mention, every movie has elements in the games/scripts/novels/promotional materials that may have been planned and never actually came to fruition. Hell, we saw Piccolo with a sword in promotional photos but never saw Piccolo with a sword in the film.
In the pirated film all of you pirates saw
Err, you speak like you've seen it, so wouldn't that be "In the pirated film all of us pirates saw"? Unless you flew to one of the countries where it's being shown and watched it, which would show some extraordinary dedication.

I wouldn't be surprised if he were given a free copy of the dvd ahead of time. His site's got more information on it than the official movie site.

Plus he's got connections (from what I gather).

What Corey said. It doesn't matter if there was anything cut from the final film that was shown in photos and trailers. ALL movies are like that. Watchmen had a lot more material written in, but had to be cut out due to time (the movie was already bordering 3 hours).

The movie shown in Japan is THE movie that will be seen in America. They wouldn't show an unfinished movie at a premiere. Regardless if there were things cut from the script or edited out of the film itself, it's FINISHED.

Too many people to quote.

Herms already pointed out that guns have been a threat before. Goku thought Blue's shotgun at close range would hurt him. Etc etc.

I'll wait for the official release before I bash it for its confusing story. Because yes if that was all they shot (which it wasn't, because stills don't just come from thin air) then the story was a mess.

I wouldn't put it past Fox to take some scissors and go crazy.

And two of the past two posts I've seen by you make this same statement. Just stop or PM the guy and ask him to vary it up if it bugs you that much. Not a big fan of the movie or the guy in general, but this is kinda childish.

It wasn't an insult. :P It's a simple statement of fact.

And I'm not Herms, Buss, though I'm honored that you would get us mixed up.
