Yes, it was made from a Japanese property but it was made by an American movie studio etc., so you should not be shocked if it… guess what looks American, clichéd or not.

I'm seeing a lot of comments that seem to border on "worst ever" here, it makes me wonder, how much cinema and film have the majority of the people here seen?

After sitting through countless parody movies like "Date Movie" and "Disaster Movie" (not by choice) it's hard to say "worst movie ever" to anything else.

For the same reason I own a copy of just about every Uwe Boll film released in English: For the Lulz at how bad it is.

Has the Japanese novel of the movie been brought up here yet?

I haven't followed everything in this thread, but I haven't seen it anywhere on the pages I have visited or on the Daizenshuu EX main site, where I would have thought it would be posted if it had in fact been brought up here.
