When Vegeta stole Frieza's dragonballs, he tosses them all out of the spaceship, it seems weird to me that he would be able to throw them all to the same spot, and actually be able to find them even though they went way off into the distance. Wouldn't it have been easier to just levitate them with his ki like Frieza does?

But to be on-topic, we probably made sure to be precise, and controlled his ki enough so that they'd all go a certain distance.

If he were caught in his escape levitating the balls, Freeza would take the Dragon Balls from him without a problem.

Idk, he had time to mock them and then calculate how far he was throwing 5 different balls, so unless he didnt have the power to do that trick yet it would have seemed more logical.

There are not many character who can actually use psychokinesis, I can only remember Freeza, Ginew and Cell using it.

I'm going to go with "Who do we see levitating things?" Freeza and Chaozu.

(Aha, and that makes me understand TaoPaipai Vs Blue better for some reason)

Nyeah, I have to doubt levitating things is one of Vegeta's fortes. Being a warrior who knows how to deliver precise, calculated attacks on the fly might help his throwing abili--Ah, never mind, he used a scouter at first XD.

Oh yes, Blue also had it. But Chaozu? I don't remember him using it. He could paralyse people, but I think that might be a different skill.

Oh yes, Blue also had it. But Chaozu? I don't remember him using it. He could paralyse people, but I think that might be a different skill.
What Freeza uses is haki, while Chaozu uses ambition!

If he did carry the balls with him with his ki, he would have been a bigger physical target for Freeza and Zarbon to spot. It was smart of him to do things the way he did, for several reasons.

I don't think Vegeta could use telekinesis to lift the Dragon Balls like that. Vegeta didn't have much time, so since he didn't have that ability, the onlt other thing he could do was think quick and steal the Dragon Balls as quickly as possible. I guess he just has good throwing aim and was precise at where the Dragon Balls would land.

As one of the universe's most powerful warriors, I'm sure he can accurately throw at super long distances the way many real athletes can throw over a realistic long distance.

Anyone else notice that Vegeta's first encounter with a Dragon Ball was the Four-Star-Ball, just like Gokuh?

Was that intentional or just a coincidence?

Vegeta actually comments on the fact that all the balls landed near each other, calling it luck, IIRC. Vegeta just wanted the balls to be away from Frieza. As long as he could prolong Frieza from getting his wish, the better, so rather than trying to worry about escaping with the balls for himself, he got them as far away from Frieza as he could, then worried about getting away on his own. The fact that they all landed near each other was somewhat by chance.

Also, I would imagine it would take a great deal of energy to levitate five (I think it was five?) objects around you while flying at the same time. And considering how fast Vegeta would have needed to fly in order to stay out of Frieza's sight, he may have lost some of the balls in the process, or not been able to fly fast enough due to concentrating on the ball levitation, and made himself a big fat target. I think throwing them all in the same general direction then hiding was a good course of action.

Also, lol at the number of times I said balls. Lol, balls.
