A few moments spring to mind. When I first watched the trunks saga and after finally battling the mighty Frieza and barely surviving, Trunks comes and kills Frieza and King Cold like it was nothing. When Goku comes back to Earth, we're told that there's a new force coming to threaten the Dragonball World that dwarfs Trunks' power. At that moment I thought all hope was lost and added on to that, Goku would suffer from some sort of "heart virus" too and until we're told there's a cure I was just thinking about how screwed we are.

Mine is the end of the Cell Games. Goku died for nothing, and now Cell's back even stronger than before. Trunks just got killed, Vegeta snapped and still got his ass kicked, and Gohan seemingly gave up, and to top it all off, Cell said he had enough power to blow up the solar system.

This was just a pretty hopeless moment for me, It was sort of irritating to the point of me screaming at the Television.

That was one of the worst things TOEI did in the DB franchize... so out of character of Vegeta.

Actually it's one of the funniest damn things they ever did, and my favorite part of that movie.

The reasoning I guess would be that this was the heaviest thing in all of Sayiajin folklore, the kind of thing they'd scare their little genocidal children with. Finding out suddenly that it's real could shake you up pretty good.

There's also the fact that he was the first fighter to attack, and his (Ultra?) Super Saiyan foot bounced off Broly's neck.

Yeah, but that didn't stop him from pounding other people until they knoch him unconcious. It's just the Vegeta way.
