Yet another old school shirt!

It's gigantic, but I like my t-shirts that way so it works out.

The much fabled DragonBall Evolution Posterzine.
Two DBZ posters from Wal-Mart.
A issue of OtakuUSA that features GT Artwork (couldn't say no)
And Blue Dragon for the shits and giggles (I hate this game)

Got all of this stuff durring Forum downtime. I'll likely get the Broly Triple Feature, DBE movie ticket, and PSP game next week.

The posters seem to be new prints and are official licensed merchandise by Trends International. Printed in Canada! (DragonBall merchandise made in Canada!?!?!?! Waahhh? Irwin don't count) Only two styles at the Wal-Mart and nearby Toys"R"Us, got each of them for $5.88 Canuckian.
"I like the money it brings in, but Dragon Ball Heroes is the worst. That's actually the real reason I decided to start working on new material. I was afraid Bandai would make something irredeemably stupid like Super Saiyan 4 Broly." - Akira Toriyama, made up interview, 2013.

I'm slowly collecting all of the original shirts from back in '98, I've got about five or six right now. The ones with Piccolo on them anyway <<

Nice. I remember having a DBZ T-Shirt about 7 years ago (I only know that because I remembered what grade in middle school I had it) It had a picture of Trunks slicing Freeza in half. It was badass. I also remember a kid, who I never would have imagined watched Dragonball, compliment me on the shirt. Then all of a sudden a few people came out about liking Dragonball. I love when that kind of stuff happens.

I saw a parked car recently with faded Dragonball bumper stickers on it.

I wanted to meet him/her but I would have missed my next class :) I'm thinking about buying a bumper sticker now. Maybe somthing suttle like a sticker of a Dragonball or Kinto-un. That way people who don't watch Dragonball won't get it and people who do will recognize it.

Damn, I saw a blue truck parked outside the faculty center once that had a crouched Piccolo in the back window. Absolutely floored me. I tried to find that car again but I never did.

I always wanted to ask this, does dragonball doujins count? Is it okay to show them here or would it "derail" to far from the topic?

Doujinshi absolutely count man.

Technically they're my absolute favorite bits of merchandise, but I didn't put the pics in because I don't have the scans of the covers with me right now. I've also been trying not to get too slashy on you guys because I don’t feel like getting into that argument.

Well the doujins I buy isn't really for me. I actually buy them to give away as prizes for my DBZ themed club on Deviant Art. So my "collection" is mixed with all kinds of genres: Gag, humor, slash, hentai, romance, etc. The entire list can be seen here. Here are the new doujinshi books I purchased for the club, I didn't get the chance to scan the inner pages or even the covers yet. These are just the images copied from the ebay auctions I've won and online doujinshi store I usually buy from.

I ran a poll recently to see what kind of DBZ type doujinshi the club members would want to win and Hentai based doujins are in high demand this year. I just wish I knew that before I went out and brought these:

The two trunks doujinshi has a very weird shounen-Ai pairing. It says "TRUNKSxtrunks only book" in the inner cover of both books. So I guess its Trunks from the future and the young trunks from normal time line...Okay. Well its not incest really...It's...Uh, I got nothing. The Gohan doujin is pretty much the same: GohanxGohanxGohanxetc. I guess its like watching twins make out except with DBZ characters? Or something (Yeah, I don't get either)

I love the Tien doujinshi despite how old it is (published in 1991). I'm so close to being an Indian giver and keeping that one for myself. I'm such a dork for Tien stuff.

I always avoided the Dragonball fan book by Power Level (PL) 69 because ebay sellers always label it as "Yaoi Fan book" or something like that. Since it was like $2, I thought I pick it up anyway. It turns out to be just a gag book. I'm relieved but I'm just confused. Why slap Yaoi label on a book if there isn't any to be found. The book did have dick joke or two but I would hardly call that homo eroticism.

What the hell? Why am I complaining, its no like this is for me anyway.

"Surrrre they're nott" said Daizenshuu forum members.

I can't really read Japanese characters but from what I could tell it just parodies the events of the early episodes of Dragonball Z up to the events when Goku meets Vegeta for the first time. It's just a "gag" book with the occasional visual punch line. Not much of a story being told in this one.

The style of art on that Kanzenban-looking one looks just like the manga for the jump anime special

Hehehe, I just bought Wild Life. Some of the art was 'meh' but other bits looked great and the whole thing was hilarious up to the deeply confusing end. I need to get my cover scans of my favorites... because I have over 70 books and listing all of them is a bad idea.

WHOA! There's Cross Epoch doujinshi?!

That's so awesome. X3

I guess I'm so used to seeing older DB doujinshi that it feels odd when I see newer stuff. ^^;;

I'm always dumbstruck when I see something newer than '94. But there are still Dragonball doujins being produced in Japan today and I love it. For soooo many reasons...
