@Everyone: How come everyone is getting so pissed at this, but they are perfectly fine towards the Stoppovitch-Videl beating? That was ten times worse than that.

Oh, right, because that was drawn by Akira Toriyama while this is drawn by some fans. How silly of me, forget I said anything.

I told you this was gonna get worse...
Anyway, the Videl vs Spopovich battle was a battle between two martial artists. The battle between Kakarotto and Kat is just a guy beating the shit out of a girl for little reason.

A girl who entered a tournament for the strongest fighters of each of their respective universes. I think she should have expected it'd be worse than getting smacked by an abusive boyfriend figure, you know, like being brutally killed or something.
Not a problem.

That's the point though. I wish the girls did a bit better. And then you have a martial arts tournament for the strongest fighters in the universe, and she loses like this? It's just a let down to me.

It's not the first time a match has gone this way.

If anything that makes me more disappointed?

I seem to remember that coming up frequently in the 'most disturbing moment' type posts that were here a few weeks ago actually. A one-sided beatdown on a very small woman is always unsettling.

Man I was wondering when comment like this would pop up. I don't know about "they" but the Stoppovitch vs. Videl match wasn't exactly my favorite DBZ moment. It was unsettling then as it is now. In fact that was the whole point of that match. The entire build up to Videl's brutal defeat had a "I got a bad feeling about this" mood. She wasn't humorously flirting with the guy one minute before. Kat getting smacked around came from out of no where. My problem with the page is that it felt out of place. It has nothing to do with the fact that Toriyama didn't draw it nor do I care about fictional women getting beaten up.

BTW If Kat announced that she gives up, Kakarott can't kill her or else he gets disqualified right? Not that I think he's going too, I'm actually just curious because I don't remember much of the rules.

Honestly, I'm not 'disturbed' by fictional women getting beaten up. I just wish they'd done a little better, since most women in the Dragon Ball universe don't seem to. Even the ones that actually are quite tough. But then again, everyone gets their asses handed to them at some point, so yeah...

But despite that, this Kat thing still felt off somehow. Maybe it's because of what Scarz has said. I'm not sure.

Yeah, but she entered the tournament because she was invited, because supposedly she was one of the strongest in her universe, which also has Bojack... With this line of reasoning, she should be at least almost has strong has one of Bojack's team, if not as strong as one of them. Are you telling me then that this Kakarot, who cannot turn into a Super Saiyan is somehow stronger than Bojack?

Not really, Uub should be nowhere near Goku and Gohan or even Vegeta when it comes to power, yet he's paired with them. Also, going by that line of logic, Pan is definitely no where near Goku Vegeta or Gohan in strength, yet she's with them. Also, what's Gohan, Goten, Trunks, and Pan doing grouped up with Vegeto, as they are nowhere near him.

Another thing, "evil Vegeta" says "WE are the Super Sayajins." That seems like an odd thing to say if he was the only one who could go Super Sayajin. He just didn't transform into Super Sayajin against Kat because that would've been overkill.

Also, Bojack said that they should kill her and her group very casually, as though it would take no effort at all.

People were disappointed when that Tuffle guy lost, since he was a custom character, too. But keep in mind that his loss was more embarrassing. He was just blasted by a chi wave by Uub and killed like he was nothing. Come to think of it, I really wish DBZM creators would stop giving their custom characters the shaft.

@Scarz: That's pretty reasonable, I guess.

To be honest, I didn't get off to the scene, but I wasn't weeping, either. I was like, "meh, whatever, next fight?" I just find it weird that you guys are acting like this is the DBZM equivalent of crucifying Jesus Christ.

EDIT: Also, it isn't true that all females get the shaft, what the hell do you call Android 18?

The resurrection of Majin Buu should be nowhere near Goku and Gohan when it comes to power? WHAT?

You're probably right, but I wouldn't put my hands on fire over that one.
Deep Thought wrote:Also, Bojack said that they should kill her and her group very casually, as though it would take no effort at all.
Which makes me ask: what is she doing there in the first place then?

No one said that guy was a "Tuffle". And so far, all their custom characters are pretty uninteresting. If the creators didn't rage so much over some movies and GT, we could have some more interesting universes. GT universe could be separated from the main manga universe (#18), for example.

Exaggerating much?

No, my thought was that she could be like the Krillin/Yamcha of the group, i.e. a much better fighter than normal people but nothing compared to the others, and she just entered because she thought it'd be fun (don't ask me how she'd be friends with Bojack, since nobody knows but apparently they are at least on neutral grounds). But, what about the fact that she saw the previous battles and everyone's obvious strength? She had the chance to realize she's hopelessly outclassed and would be destroyed, but she thought her little pheromone trick would let her win.

If she didn't want to get beat to crap by opponents that are clearly stronger, she should have forfeited. In other words, I'm saying she knew of the risk when she decided to fight, and so getting beaten around by alternate Kakarrot is her own doing, and as I said it could have been much worse. Therefore, I don't have much sympathy.

EDIT: Oh, and in non-argument news, new page is up.

Perhaps their answer to "Was Gohan SSJ or SSJ2 when fighting Dabura?" by doing this matchup?
Not a problem.

I'm trying to understand the joke that Vegeta made. Is it a reference to how in Dragon Ball, Goku thought that a date was a fight since you do the most enjoyable thing, and thus Kakarrot was beating her up because he thought she was liking it and that's his form of being seduced?
Yamcha: Do you remember the spell to release him - do you know all the words?
Bulma: Of course! I'm not gonna pull a Frieza and screw it up!
Master Roshi: Bulma, I think Frieza failed because he wore too many clothes!

Goku's a pervert. That thought alone makes me giggle.

Gohan was in his SSJ form when he fought Dabura. Vegeta also made a comment during the fight stating that Gohan power level wasn't nearly as strong when he fought Cell years ago. Although that was the English dub I watched so who knows how accurate that was.

Cell vs The Lord of Hell, Who knows, maybe this time will actually get an even match. I have faith in ye ol' red devil.

Gohan, even as SSJ2, had his power lower than when he fought Cell due to focusing on studies over training. I believe he was SSJ2 when fighting Dabura, just not a SSJ2 at the level he had against Cell. At least, that's what I feel from the original scenes.

"You'll think twice before turning on a pervert"

I'm not really understanding the meaning of that line. Does that mean that "Kakarot" is going to make her become his woman and she should just go with it if she wants to live!?

It either means 'betraying a pervert' or 'arousing a pervert'!

So she would betray him by leaving him, which would imply that she is going to be his woman?
