Cool. I'm guessing it's instrumental, like it is on the European version (and probably Japanese too)?

That would be a cool version for a really nice and super cool web-master to rip.

What plays on the ending of Budokai 2? An instrumental version of "We Got Power"?

What's the "closing" to the first Budokai? I mean, what do you do to "beat" the game? It's been a while since I played, but all the story mode stuff just revolves around single episodes 'n stuff...

If someone wants to tell me where to do it / how to do it, I'd be glad to rip it.

You know, I honestly don't remember what you have to do to "beat" the game in order to see the credits. I want to say it involved story mode. Perhaps after you beat it the first time or if you just beat the last episode of the Android Saga. But yeah, it was just an instrumental.

The first time through, the episodes aren't individually selectable. You just play them one after another. After you use Gohan to beat "Power-Weighted" Cell (which took me bloody ages), the end credits come up, accompanied by a series of still, black and white stills shown on Dr Brief's projector (all in sequential order, apart from the last few, which show Gohan as a kid bursting out of Raditz's pod, Gohan in Saiyan armour carrying Piccolo on Namek, and then Gohan as SSJ 2. It beautifuly highlights the "DBZ is Gohan's story" thing that Toriyama once said).

After that, you can pick episodes individually, and you get the credits if you do that episode again. I think you also get them if you do the extra final mission (which is the "Cellin" one). "A Cold Blooded Assasain" I think it's called.

So you just have to beat Cell again (definitely), or do the "Cellin" mission (possibly). I don't know if you can rip the song straight off of the CD. I have it on Gamecube, so I can't really check. Sorry.

Yeah; since it's not an actual video stream, I doubt I'd be able to rip it directly (unlike good ol' *.str and *.xa PS1 files!); I'll be capturing the audio through my video card (did the same thing with the Budokai 2 opening).

I'll get it at some point...

It was a cool instrumental.

So, what happens when you beat Budokai 2? Is there an ending animation? Closing credits? Funky guitar version of "We Gotta Power"? Eh?

The credits roll to a longer version of the intro song "Go for it!" and it shows a bunch of still shots like in the first game. Nothing really special, but the song is good.

It's no "Cha La" though, is it? Or "We used to be angels".

I want a good instrumental of that, damnit.

Yeah the FMV in DBGT: Final Bout was really good. The game itself wasn't the best, but if you were a fan, I guess you'd have to have it. I beat Baby by doing the same punch move over and over. It was really easy. Despite people saying how bad it is though, the game is a lot of money to buy at Funcoland (GameStop). Its over $100. Why?

I split this from the other thread, since it's taking a whole new direction ^^.

So let's make a list of all this music I should be capturing. Keep in mind that I've only got the American versions of both PS2 Budokai games, so that's what I'll be working with.

If you can tell me:
- What specific song I'm getting
- How I go about getting it to play

... I guess I'm more than willing to do so. Don't ask me for tons of BGM; I don't care about doing the theme songs and variations of the theme songs used in credits, but that's it :P.

You moved my post or did I post in the wrong thread? o_O

Huh? I just took the last few posts from that other thread, which are all directly about music from the Budokai games, and made a new thread from them. The other thread (about Final Bout) is still intact, minus these posts (which make up THIS thread, now).

Except for your post. Which got caught in the move :P

Okay, I vote for the instrumental of Cha La Head Cha La. It is played over the end credits, which comes up after the final cut scene (where Goku mentions that he's going to stay dead), and the cut scene itself comes up after you beat Cell for the final time as Gohan.

If there are any versions of "We used to be Angels" or "We got Power" on Budokai 2, I'd love to hear them, but I haven't played the game, so I don't know.

Argh.

Just can't get the audio-in to work on my computer to save my life. Ever since I fuX0rZ3d around with my video cards, and such, I'm missing a lot of funtionality. Have to do it at Meri's, like I did for Budokai 2... so... maybe this weekend? I dunno. Whatever.

Is the audio in from a seperate soundcard, or a built-in motherboard sound chip?

I'm doing the audio-in via my video card, which has audio-out to line-in on my sound card. It's just all been funky, lately. Works fine on Meri's, so I'll just do that.
