Remember how it wasn't until a couple of weeks before the Asian release that one of Chris Sabat's pals stated he had absolutely no role within DBE and how it eventually was confirmed by the movie? Remember how long people thought Mr. Sabat was going to provide Shenlong's voice?

It seems the information about this movie has been screwed around with since day 1.
Except that this is from semi-official, if not COMPLETELY reliable sources.

You know. Fandango and other sites that are actually paid to deal with movies and the like. They buy tickets from these places with that duration on the site.

So...while I'm not certain of it, it's definitely interesting.

So, is ANYONE waiting for the actual, theatrical release of the movie? I've been avoiding threads like these because I didn't want it spoiled, hoping to come back and discuss after I'd seen it, but now it looks like everyone has already gone and pirated it and subsequently gotten the commentary out of their systems, making it "old news" as they immediately move on to Kai.

Now, I'm not going to pretend to have the moral high ground here, since I don't necessarily want to support the film either, but it just seems like today's generation has no patience whatsoever. Friends of mine have already seen X-Men Origins, due out in May. Now, I'm as big a Wolverine fan as the next guy, but I can live another month without getting blueballed from lack of mutant fanfare. And after all the time I've kept up with Dragonball, another week or two sure as hell doesn't faze me.

I mean, does sitting alone in your boxers watching a screener rip really compare to seeing it on the big screen, with friends, and at a time when it's a fresh topic for everyone? I know the economy is in bad shape right now, but does anyone still appreciate the theater-going experience?

I do plan on seeing the movie, and have thus avoided watching all of the clips that are online, and have pretty much completely stopped following the movie in threads like this and other sites dedicated to the film (which used to be pretty much all I did). This is mainly because I don't want to ruin anything, and because I have just simply lost a lot of enthusiasm in the film. I almost don't want to sit down and watch a 2 minute clip on YouTube simpluy because I'd rather spend that time doing something else; since I'm going to end up seeing it, either in theatres or via Netflix.

I'm not going to lie, I've watched the movie. But I'm still gonna(and planned from the beginning to) see the movie in theatres.

3 days, and my excitement is maximum.

I'm waiting for the theatrical release. For one thing, CAMs suck. Also, I like to be surprised; to that end I've made an active effort to read as little about the movie as possible.

Unfortunetely, in the area I'm in right now, it's hard to find a showing where some asshole (or, in many cases an entire flock of assholes) doesn't talk through the entire movie. It's an epidemic. I'm going to open a theatre one day with an armed security guard, whose sole job is to escourt talkers out.

In related news, I avoided that Wolverine workprint like the plague. With the FBI being brought in to find the leak, there's just too much heat on that one. A friend of mine downloaded the newest Bond flick a few months back, and she received a cease-and-desist letter FROM COMCAST of all entities! There's all sorts of controversy surrounding their packet sniffing and privacy violations, but they just can't be brought down!

I am going to go see it in a theater as soon as possible. I will probably see it opening day, I wanted to see it in the afternoon but I am working until 6 that day, so I guess I have to see it at night. None of my friends really have any interest in seeing it, so I might be seeing it alone.

Right here, amigo. I haven't watched anything more "leaked" than those couple of clips from last month.

EDIT: Oh, and to spice this thread up a bit...

Here's the source, a couple behind-the-scenes videos, posted by my man Craig over at DBthemovie.com.

I hope they do that in the actual movie. Maybe they are referencing the dance Sparkle and Monkey Boy had in DBTMB.

According to the thread on Jappo's board its actually for a musical number the actors themselves cooked up for their own amusement. Emmy Rossum has a copy of the whole thing, but says she's not allowed to release it publicly.
On hiatus.

Hey, I saw on Attack of the Show today that a group of Trek fans attending a Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan screening, where met by Leonard Nimoy, who promptly informed that they were actually going to be the first screening audience for the new Star Trek movie.

That got me thinking, if you went to see a screening of one of the original 17 Dragonball theatrical features, but were then met by, let's say Ryusei Nakao, who informed you that you were going to be instead screening Dragonball Evolution, what would you reaction be?

I personally would take the opportunity to make a funny comment expressing a desire to instead watch the original film I had come to see, but really I would be quite excited.

I wouldn't go to see any of the movies, but if he told me they would be sowing Evolution, I would walk out. I think the movie is really bad, watchable, but it's not DragonBall

Well, I've just got back from watching it. It was certainly enjoyable. I honestly don't know how to describe it. It wasn't the best movie I've ever seen, but it wasn't terrible either. I guess the best word to use would be 'adequate'. The were quite a few bits that made me chuckle and a few references that made me smile. The hand to hand combat was okay. I was seriously hoping for more from the final battle. It just seemed to be over way too quickly.

I plan to pay for the movie ticket to Evolution, but then go into Observe and Report, because I'm not 18.

So, yeah, I'm supporting DBE.
