Yeah, until all of your friends screw you over by suddenly leaving for trips of just plain dumping on you a week before the goddamn thing comes out. I can't even convince my brother to go with me if I paid for it, and I'm not going by my goddamn self -_- Don't suppose anyone on here lives around the Philly area... I just wanted to laugh at this stupid movie with somebody since October, that was all. It shouldn't be this much to ask of people.

I know the economy is in bad shape right now, but does anyone still appreciate the theater-going experience?
I'm waiting for the theatrical release. For one thing, CAMs suck. Also, I like to be surprised; to that end I've made an active effort to read as little about the movie as possible.
I'm waiting to see it in the theater. I want my first experience of it to be the way it was meant to be seem. That's how I like to see my movies. Heck, I have a copy of the Wolverine movie on my hard drive but am waiting until it's in theaters to see it.

I am. I've spoiled myself a little but for the most part I still don't know what's going to happen. I have ridiculously low standards for DBE and that's the second best frame of mind to go into a bad movie with. Right next to knowing nothing about it.

Well, I am going to it today with a friend of mine who is more of a casual Dragonball fan, but is still going in with low expectations. Should be interesting to hear his perspective.

Are you planning to see it today in the US? Because it's been postponed to the 10th in case you didn't know.

Well I just watched it and I guess it's alright.
It made me laugh in some bits and the fight scenes were good but somethings just made me shake my head. The total lack of Oolong and Puar made me cry and somethings were just plain wrong.
For a movie it was great but for an adaptation of Dragonball, It was just ok.

In Mexico it's coming out tomorow, so he could be from somewhere else besides the US

Rotten Tomatoes is finally showing a score, which is 40% at the moment.

IGN's hosting a particularly harsh review.
IGN wrote:The film will disgust die-hard fans, and just baffle those unfamiliar with the source.
Personally, I've already satiated the morbid curiosity that would've compelled me to the theater and there's no way I could endure sitting through this again. Some fans are of the opinion that going out of their way and paying for this movie despite having already seen it is a gesture of support; if there were an equal monetary gesture to express disdain for this movie, I'd pay double.

Well I'm glad that's finally cleared up. It's just as long as the Asian version. Also, I randomly remembered earlier that there was said to be a short animated portion of the film. What ever happened to that?

At the end of a rather routine TV Guide interview with James Marsters (Piccolo) on April 6th, it was revealed by the host that Justin Chatwin (Goku) had said the sequel to Dragonball: Evolution was recently green-lit.

If that’s true, it’s somewhat of a surprise the studio hasn’t decided to wait until after the movie premieres in North America. But, with the newly confirmed budget of $50 million and *SPOILER* a cliffhanger at the end of Evolution, it’s not impossible.

Well, peace out when the sequel gets a title and whatnot. I'm not sitting through more television tropes.

At the very least, I hope the sequel will be decent. Don't care about a decent adaptation, just a decent movie.

CLiffhanger?! What cliffhanger?! Chatku-Vegetto and Chichung about to fight?! That wasn't a cliffhanger, that was just a crappy ending!

He means the thing with Piccolo mid-into the credits.

Spoiler by the way...not really.

Maybe you should watch the actual movie and not some camera bootleg.

No way, $20 is too much to see a movie that sucks ass.

I'll get the DVD when it's down in price.

Or maybe he didn't watch the credits? I know I didn't.
