And the new ending is awesome. It's great to see so many new animated things for Dragon Ball lately, and this ending fits the family theme quite nicely. Goku playing Old Maid with Gohan kills me.

I've just been told that my Japanese friend just got my copy in the mail today. So, when she comes back to the US I'll have a copy as well!

EDIT: She's sending it to me instead so I don't have to wait as long!

Wow, everyone loves it. I thought it was okay. Kinda 'meh' actually. Some nice family pictures, forgettable song.

It's already been stated, earlier in this thread, that no CD release is known yet.


As for the ending itself...I wasn't impressed. While the artwork was nice, the whole thing was just boring as hell. The song didn't really do anything for me, either.

I also don't see what people are talking about when they say the ending has "great animation." Half the ending is composed of still shots while the half that *is* animated is so choppy that it looks like the inbetweeners got fired or something.

Has the drought of no new Dragon Ball animation all these years lowered fans' expectations *that* much?

Really hoping Funi releases this on Blu-Ray as a double feature with "Plan To Eradicate the Saiyans". Not holding my breath though.

The special is called "Goku and friends", not "Vegeta and friends."

Besides, the story of Dragon Ball has always focused around Goku and those involved with him. Plus, since when do we actually get to see Goku spending quality time with his family, let alone see Satan and Videl actually being a part of the Son family?

Actually, I think the reason it's choppy may be due to how the clips were ripped.

That was great! I'm loving new DB these days. :lol:

I'm kicking myself for not purchasing this though..... We'll probably see a mainstream DVD release soon enough (maybe part of a Kai set?)......

Edit: Just watched the song, I found it really enjoyable, it didn't feel that much like a Dragonball song, but it still made me feel a little sentimental.
