"Yeah! Break! Care! Break!" Plagiarism??

Post by ShinRogafuken » Thu Apr 09, 2009 10:09 pm

Somebody over on YouTube made a video "showing" how Yeah! Break Care! Break! slightly copied the Itatlian DBZ opening.

I'm not really sure that this is true, I mean it did seem sort of like "Eh, they weren't THAT similar" but I thought I would just bring it up.

This is nowhere near as evident as some of the other 'plagiarisms'. It seems they only seem to be using the same chord progression, similar to Dan Dan and Dragon Soul.

Honestly, I don't hear it. Even if it did sound like "What Is My Destiny" I would have no objection. I think that is the only international opening that nailed the whole DragonBall feel.

Yeah, they aren't really the same, but I wanted to see what you guys had to say on that.

I don't hear it at all personally.

I feel like I know "What's My Destiny" pretty well, and I don't hear a single resemblance. This one sounds like waaaaay more of a stretch than anything we've tried to do/show before.

Did somebody leave a comment saying there was no resemblance?

The song sounds more like these.

Well, since this kind of chord progression is very popular in Japan and Eurobeat songs, this happens with many Japanese/Eurobeat musics.

Another, this one is with Dan Dan Kokoro Hikareteku, I think he found the similarity in the "Dokkan Dokkan" part of the song
