I would've loved the little recaps they're doing for Dragonball in FUNi's Dragonball Z.

Wasn't that the piece used in the Piccolo/Raditz confrontation in episode one? The nice guitar piece? Oh well, I'll figure it all out soon enough. I too really like that piece; it very well might be my favorite one so far, either that one or the one used during Bardock's death.
Yup. That cool guitar 80's rock piece that kicked in. It was short, but sweet. 8)

Given the fact that I would personally rather not see a 5 year old's penis, I don't see what the big fuss is about.

I'm not saying "It's Censored Now It Sucks". I just put some shots of edited and unedited scenes.

I'm obviously late to the game here, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. I'll be reading over these posts more before forming a final opinion which lead into my next video.

Not that it means anything, but Goku's a little younger than 5 there. :P

Is it just me, or was that particular scene completely redrawn?
For all the flack that FUNimation gets on this forum for their quote about DBZ, there's some modicum of truth to it: a 9-year-old is born every day. Or in some cases, "reborn". DBZ may be a kids' show, but it's been so close to so many hearts all over Japan, America, and quite possibly, even the world.
It was.

Notice how Goku's hair has a shine and all of the steam puffs are gone. There's also more water spilling from between the two front planks, as if there's a hole. The tiles around Gohan's feet are also more noticeable.

That's insane. They do all this work of redrawing and recoloring everything...

And then they miss that.

It's a small Kame symbol without the white.

I hope you guys aren't thinking they colored Goku's hand green, because they didn't. :P

Okay so what the hell is the point of re-doing everything? To censor Goku's manhood? We still have dumb animation mistakes, and coloring errors.

I'm actually kind of really annoyed they're cutting so many manga scenes. Way more annoyed than I should be. Didn't the advertisements say "now closer to Toriyama's original cut"? It doesn't hinder my enjoyment of the series, but it is a darn shame.

Thought Raditz's voice was pretty solid this time around. Didn't really feel like it was all that lacking in the first episode though, but he sounded like classic Raditz.

Really liking the new score. I love the old score, but it's great to watch these scenes set to different music. It's the same dish but a different recipe, and I'm digging it so far.

Agreed. Though I'm quite the fan of Kenji's works on the games, so I might be a little biased.

Closer doesn't mean exactly 100%.

Not to mention, they only have about 100 episodes to work with with the 300+ chapters of the manga going from the Saiyan to Boo sagas. They're gonna have to condense it and squeeze in as much as possible without trying to let things drag on.

Isn't the 100 episodes thing still a complete rumor? No number has been officially given for how long Kai will be, unless I missed something.

It is a rumor, but if they keep up their current pacing then approximately 100 episodes seems like a likely scenario.
