The Z Warriors' own reaction to the movie (more accuratly, to a particular clip posted here earlier)

I would have it on youtube, but they immediatly killed the video no less than 5 seconds after I uploaded it.

As for my opinion on the movie... I think I'm just going to copy and paste the double dragon gif.

Wow, that was pure genius! I laughed a lot even though I actually enjoyed the film a lot.

Phenomenal job to whoever made that! (Was it you, fine fellow?) The ending was some of the best editing I've ever seen.

The movie was really really bad just like most everyone thought it would be, I wasn't really surprised.

Also, just watched an interview with Chatwin where he described what the hair from the manga would look like in live action as "retarded", which I thought was very unprofessional but still extremely hilarious.

Wow, I didn't think my opinion on Chatwin could drop any lower, and yet it has.

Could he have been more immature and offensive in describing his opinion on the hair?

Is it that hard to try and word it in a professional manner, like "We found Goku's hair to be far too unrealistic and difficult to properly translate to live action." or something like that?! No, he goes straight to using grammar-school insults like "retarded"?

Which is totally dead wrong, considering this fan pulled it off with ease. (According to the guy who originally found the pic on another forum I'm on, that isn't a wig.)

Kinda makes ya wonder if they were just too lazy to do it. Or if Chatlose (C WUT I DID THAR?) threw a fit over it.

Yeah that does look like Goku's hair but it still looks ridiculous. If they went with that hair style people would still laugh at it and not take it seriously. It doesn't matter what they did with the movie because nobody will ever take a live action Dragon Ball seriously!

He's not a PR person, he's an actor... and technically he's right, despite his language it would look ridiculous.

Now that you mention it... yeah! There are a lot of parallels to be drawn here. But can we lose Gyumao completely and just have Satan as Chichi's dad? ("Just because my name's Chichi doesn't mean I'm... something" [ugh the dialogue]) I know he's over 60 now, but wouldn't Sgt. Slaughter make the perfect Satan?

That reminds me of something a Japanese viewer said on 2ch...
Basically, it was something like:
So it would appear that in English-speaking countries, the name "Chichi" is considered ridiculous... whereas there's nothing weird about "Bulma Briefs".

I think it's primarily that "Chi-Chis" are pretty synonymous with breasts, while "Bulma" just sounds like jibberish. Sure, it's "bloomers," but that's practically a dead word. I had no idea what "bloomers" were until I learned about the DB name puns.

Agreed. It's good cosplay (of Goten maybe), but that hair would be laughable outside of a web forum or convention.

You people do realize you're talking about a movie that has a BIG GREEN ALIEN IN ARMOR with an Asian woman that can CHANGE HER APPEARANCE as well as a protagonist that can TURN INTO A GIANT MONKEY.

Since when was Dragon Ball supposed to be taken as a serious series that was meant to be realistic?

This isn't an American comic book flick we're talking about. We're talking about a Japanese one, where generally everyone has some form of hairstyle you normally can't pull off in real life.
