That's funny... I remember those from when I was like, 4 or 5. 'Course... now I'm showing my age. :)

Anyways... back on topic.

I had started drawing my own story where Tenshinhan and Yamcha were the main characters but gave up very early in the project since i didn't have enough time to do it correctly. I may get back to it one day but i take too much time drawing.

That sounds cool, Résistance. I'd be interested in seeing it if you ever do continue.

As for whether I've ever attempted a new DB series? Well I have, but it was essentially just an ill-planned, 'glorified' fanfiction (called Dragonball Neo) that, asides from a basic idea, I had no real plan for further in the series, and it never reached any kind of completion.

Originally, I was going to write two 'series' for it. One began in the Bardock t.v special, where a small group of Saiyans took his warning about Freeza seriously, and escaped the planet Vegeta. That was just about all I had planned for this part, all I knew I wanted other than this was that it was to follow their adventures until their eventual arrival on the planet which was last put in the computer. This was (well, in my plan, and basic rationalisation), of course, Earth.

The second part was set some time in the future, and followed a descendant of this group of Saiyans. The setting and story has changed a lot since I first began, the initial vision being set after G.T, with Goku Jr. grown-up and with a child of his own. The first major villain(s) I had planned was some relative of Gero's (I think I had him be some kind of great (-great-great?) granchild, and his want for vengance on the Son family.

I know the story for the second part wasn't overly original, but it was a good four or so years ago when I began it, when I was around 13, and the Android arc was all that had aired (I don't think it had finished, actually), and my only other resource for information was the internet.

I rather like the first part, even though it was initially just an idea to establish a back-story and give reason for another person with Saiyan blood to exist on Earth. I've begun re-writing it (sans the Gero family), though knowing me and my 'write one chapter, then stop' habits, it'll never see the light of day.

A French guy who writes for the same site as i do (his name is Zuka) created an alternative DBZ story where Goku is Vegeta (well, in his story Vegeta is the saiyan who lives on earth and Goku comes to ask him to join him). Here is a sample picture:

Looks pretty cool though =)

Yeah, that's what it says. I'll keep you updated with his answer concerning me posting his story here. In the meantime, here is another drawing he made:

I'm starting to make a DB fan comic. It's a continuation that starts from the end of Z... Well, I'm trying to make one. My art isn't good, so I have to practice a lot...

To stop making sketches and plot summaries which go nowhere, I've decided to start the comic with a side-story, which use mostly original charachters. Kame senin, Piccolo, Tenshinhan, Caos and Bulma will appear, but they won't be main charachters, at least, not in this prologue.

I'll talk more about it when I actually have something solid, like, the first chapter, ready.

The main charachters of the prologue will be these:

1-Azul(I'm bad at making names... :( )- The main charachter of the prologue. A boy from a village far away from any civilization. He's very talented in martial arts, and travels to find a magical artifact which can cure his grandfather's illness. He light hearted, and curious. In battle, he often is overconfident.

He carries with him a Four Stars Black Dragon Ball, which appeared from the sky in the same night of the death of his family, 7 years ago.

OBS: I thought about making his grandfather, Cinza, Gohan's(Goku's grandfather, not his son!) disciple... is there any problem? Would that create a plothole?

2-Ama- A traveller who collects ancient scrolls with old ki techniques. He is blamed for stealing a magical artifact from Azul's village, and is travelling with him to recover it. He knows 99 different ancient ki techniques, and, initially, is stronger than Azul. He's serious. reserved and dislikes anyone stronger than himself.

3-Verm- Azul's friend who offered to travel with him to save his grand father. He's a bit lazy, and not very focused in Martial Arts, he mainly wants to see the world outside of his village.

4-Branki- A boy with super human strength, speed and endurance. He comes from Ama's village, but he is hated by him. He's proud, arrogant, and cruel. Branki travels around the world destroying small cities, though, as he gets stronger, his targets also get bigger...

Huh... he has a tail...

And Goku's a Super Saiyan when he comes to Earth in that one, hm?

I keep pimping this over and over:

I've come up with another little story where I actually made up my own character. I suck with names and the kid's name was Yuko. He was raised like Goku and he also had a foster grandpa, Grandpa Hanoh. See? I really suck with names. I haven't completed it yet, but it starts out saying that the 4 star ball was a family heirloom for Hanoh. He then saw a saiyan space pod one day and found Yuko, whose real saiyan name is Haradock. Then, when Nahoh was taking a stroll in the woods, he heard another loud crash and he dropped his 4 star ball out of his backpack, he carried it everywhere. The ball landed near Grandpa Gohan's house and well, you get the idea. A couple of days later, Nahoh sneaks out at night and tries to find the ball, but instead sees a giant oozaru and then sees it step on some old geezer, Grandpa Gohan. Then, after his heart attack, Yuko decides to seek out the famous Goku to look for the 4 star ball. Now remember, Yuko is being told all of this by Nahoh and Goku is an adult like after GT, these were just stories of the past. Anyway, Yuko finds out that Goku was "the thief's" pupil and then wants to kill him. Is that a good intro for it, I won't write it that poorly, it's just an overview, but what do you guys think? Is it just a big plothole or could it work?
Gerry Dragan (yes, that's my real name.)
