Bubbles: Takahiro Fujimoto (Umigame in Kai)
Gregory: Yūsuke Numata (Baby in GT)
Nappa: Tetsu Inada (Lude, Android 19 in GT)

Since I am a big fan of Nappa and Shōzō Iizuka, seiyu of Nappa in Z, now I'm really mad at the unreasonable replacement....
and half interest in Kai. I AM DISAPPOINTED TO DEATH.

Wait... Gregory is in Kai? I don't care about Bubbles and Popo, but Nappa also? Who else? the Ginyu Special Force? Kami? Shen Long?

There are probably a lot of scenes where King Kai and Gregory are in the same frame, and they can't afford to cut those pieces of animation..or something.

They're talking about a replacement in the voice actor. So Grogory is getting voiced lines.

Was Shenlong announced yet? I don't remember if he was a Gôri character or...

EDIT: Does Furukawa list any reasons as to why their were recastings?

Why is Bubbles being recasted? His voice actor was already confirmed to play Oolong in the series.

Yeah. That's what I was getting at, that the fact that he's present with King Kai warrants him getting voiced lines. Otherwise people who haven't seen the show would say "Who the hell is that cricket?"

I see Scratch as more as part of Dr. Briefs rather than an independent character though. Gregory files around on his own.

Having someone have their pet cat constantly with them doesn't require exposition.
Having a Flying Grasshopper alien thing always flying around you is another matter entirely.
They'll probably keep a portion of Gregory's training just so people know who he is and why he's there.

Scratch is likely some sort of alien or demonic symbiote, keeping Dr. Briefs alive and running for far longer than he probably should be so as to leech his life force. If Briefs ever did pass on, he'd probably make Bulma his host instead.

The censoring was fucking ridiculous. Not to mention they didn't recolor Nappa so there's still a continuity error when he arrives on Earth.
